Widening The Door

In the face of the purpose driven and seeker sensitive methodologies, Pastor/author Bob DeWaay asks, Who wants to go back to the faith once for all delivered to the saints?

Our most popular preachers and book writers today are widening the narrow gate (of salvation), they are changing the terms of the Gospel, they are not telling people about:

• the blood atonement
• repentance
• teachings of New Testament

They are widening it, making it a broad, easy path that anyone can go down, a path of (self ) fulfillment...You can have a better life, you can be happy, you can solve your problems...that is nothing different than the old social gospel from the early 20th Century that destroyed most of the mainline denominations.

If we think that our evangelical denominations aren't going to be destroyed by the same message that the liberals adopted in 1915, we're deluding ourselves.
