Egypt court upholds death sentence on eight Muslim Brotherhood members

Egypt court upholds death sentence on eight Muslim Brotherhood members

An Egyptian court on Tuesday upheld the death sentences passed on eight members of the outlawed Muslim Brotherhood convicted of assaulting a police station in 2013, official MENA news agency reported.
The Cairo Criminal Court made the decision after receiving the approval of the Grand Mufti, the highest religious authority in Egypt.
The case dates back to August 2013 during a security crackdown on supporters of former Islamist President Mohamed Morsi after his ouster in September.
The eight brotherhood members broke into Helwan Police Station, killing six people, including three policemen, and wounding 19 others, authorities said.
They also set the police station and security vehicles ablaze.
A total of 50 others were sentenced to life imprisonment, which is equal to 25 years in jail in Egypt.
Egypt has been battling waves of anti-security activities, mostly centred in North Sinai, since the army-led ouster of Morsi in 2013.
Islamists said the attacks targeting security personnel and the Copts were in retaliation for the crackdown against Morsi’s supporters and the Christians loyalty to the army.
Mr. Morsi, along with prominent figures of his brotherhood group, was sentenced to death over killing protesters, spying for foreign countries and other charges, but most of the charges are still appealable.

Fatima - Miracle of the Sunor a Harbinger

Fatima - Miracle of the Sun or a Harbinger of Deception?

 About Fatima
100 years ago an event happened that changed the world. Upwards of 70,000 were gathered in the little village of Fatima, Portugal. They were told, by an apparition that had appeared to three children—what many believed to be Mary of the Bible—that a miracle would occur. Something happened on October 13, 1917 and thousands of people witnessed it... It was called, The Miracle of the Sun.
The Watchman Chronicles presents FATIMA - Miracle of the Sun or a Harbinger of Deception?
What did the witnesses in 1917 really see?
Did Psychics predict the events of Fatima? Why did the apparition only speak telepathically with the children?What happened to the original testimonies of the witnesses taken 1917?Why was the main seer Lucia cloistered with a vow of silence for almost 2 decades? What actually appeared in the sky in 1917? Many witnesses described seeing a dull, silver disc...Were there other phenomena seen that day, such as "flying hats?"
The Watchman Chronicles with host L. A. Marzulli travelled to Fatima, Portugal to get the answers. You'll be astounded when you hear what amounts to a completely different version of the events than we have been led to believe.Coming this September...

My Help Comes From The Lord

           Psalm 31English Standard Version (ESV)

21 Blessed be the Lord,
    for he has wondrously shown his steadfast love to me
    when I was in a besieged city.
22 I had said in my alarm,[b]
    “I am cut off from your sight.”
But you heard the voice of my pleas for mercy
    when I cried to you for help.
23 Love the Lord, all you his saints!
    The Lord preserves the faithful
    but abundantly repays the one who acts in pride.
24 Be strong, and let your heart take courage,
    all you who wait for the Lord!

Psalm 41English Standard Version (ESV)

11 By this I know that you delight in me:
    my enemy will not shout in triumph over me.
12 But you have upheld me because of my integrity,
    and set me in your presence forever.
13 Blessed be the Lord, the God of Israel,
    from everlasting to everlasting!
Amen and Amen.

Psalm 51English Standard Version (ESV)

Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean;
    wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.
Let me hear joy and gladness;
    let the bones that you have broken rejoice.
Hide your face from my sins,
    and blot out all my iniquities.
10 Create in me a clean heart, O God,
    and renew a right[b] spirit within me.
11 Cast me not away from your presence,
    and take not your Holy Spirit from me.
12 Restore to me the joy of your salvation,
    and uphold me with a willing spirit.

Psalm 61English Standard Version (ESV)

Hear my cry, O God,
    listen to my prayer;
from the end of the earth I call to you
    when my heart is faint.
Lead me to the rock
    that is higher than I,
for you have been my refuge,
    a strong tower against the enemy.

Rick Warren's Ecumenical Modeling for Unbelievers Distorts The Biblical Christ

“If unbelievers like what they see, they will listen to what we say,” Warren also remarked. “Consider this: about 25 percent of Americans are Catholic Christians, and another 25 percent are Evangelical Christians. That’s about half of America! If just these two groups were committed to modeling the love of Christ together, imagine all the good that could happen!” - Rick Warren

LAKE FOREST, Calif. — Megachurch leader Rick Warren, known for his best-selling book “The Purpose-Driven Life,” said in a recent interview that he hopes his partnership with a local Roman Catholic leader to collaboratively combat social ills becomes a “model” for others around the world. His remarks have drawn disagreement from those who believe that ecumenism with those who preach another gospel is unbiblical.
The Roman Catholic site Crux published the interview, which featured both Warren and friend Kevin Vann of the Diocese of Orange, on Sept. 14. They were asked by interviewer and diocese Chancellor Pia de Solenni to share about how their friendship formed and developed.
Vann recalled that Warren attended his installation as the bishop of Orange and also called to congratulate him. The two continued to communicate and soon also began praying together.

Pope Continues Ecumenical Embrace of Islam

The Pope, Peace and Islamic Fundamentalists

"...After a visit to the Vatican on September 20, a delegation of the Muslim World League (MWL), an international NGO based in, and funded by, Saudi Arabia, lauded Pope Francis for his past statements rejecting the link between Islam and violence. During their "historic meeting," MWL Secretary-General Muhammad Abdul-Kareem Al-Issa and the Pope exchanged gifts and reportedly vowed to enhance cooperation "in all areas to achieve common goals, notably the spread of peace and harmony."
The next day, the Pontifical Council for Interreligious Dialogue and the WML held an "informal meeting... during which it was repeated that:
  • Religion and violence are incompatible;
  • Religions have moral resources capable of contributing to fraternity and peace;
  • The phenomenon of fundamentalism, particularly when violent, is troubling and joint efforts are required to counter it, and
  • Situations exist where freedom of conscience and of religion are not entirely respected and protected, so there is an urgent need to remedy this, renewing 'religious discourse' and reviewing school books."
The two groups then agreed to establish a joint permanent committee "in the near future" to address these issues.
Similar sentiments were expressed by the leaders of Cairo's al-Azhar University -- the world's leading Islamic center of learning for Sunni Muslims -- at its International Peace Conference in April, after Pope Francis delivered an address for which the audience awarded him much applause. According to an account in the National Catholic Register, "Probably to avoid offending its Muslim members, who consider Jesus only a prophet, [Pope Francis] seemed to deliberately omit any explicit mention of the Lord's name, preferring to focus more generally on 'God' and the 'Absolute.'"
