Smoke from Chernobyl fire could spread radiation

Smoke could spread radiation far and wide - experts

Smoke from burning forests in the Chernobyl exclusion zone is capable of spreading contaminants across great distances, even after the fire has been stopped, ecology experts told RT.

The forest fire near the crippled Chernobyl nuclear power plant started on Tuesday and triggered an emergency alert, with police and National Guard mobilized to bring the flames under control.

By Wednesday, the country's Emergency Ministry, as well as the prime minister, who went to the affected area, said the spread of the fire had been stopped and firefighters were containing the remaining flames. Later on Wednesday, Ukrainian TV reported the flames in areas containing radioactive waste have been put out. New hot spots were discovered, but they are outside the exclusion zone.

Fukushima: It’s a myth that disaster is contained

Nuclear Engineer: I agree Fukushima can be ‘extinction event’; It’s a myth that disaster is being contained

Question: “Do you agree that this is, essentially — if it runs the next 20 years without anything happening — basically an extinction event for a good part of the human race and higher life forms?”
Chris Harris, former licensed Senior Reactor Operator & engineer: “I just jotted down some thoughts really quickly, these are myths of Fukushima: Containment – there isn’t any, even though today they started off probably another failed attempt at the ice walls; Cold shutdown is a myth at Fukushima — they declared it, but there is no cold shut down there; Cooling is a myth there, because you can’t tell that there is actual cooling going to where ever the fuel is; Waste processing… mountains of plastic bags, a mountain of them — that’s waste processing?; Decommissioning is a myth; Cleanup is a myth, it’s a waste generation facility; … There is no containment; Emergency planning there is also a myth, as we have seen because of the faulty electrical systems and everything else from the makeshift system they do have running. So, I am in agreement with your statement.“

Christians Thrown Overboard by Muslims

The Jihad to come in Europe

Op-ed: Some of the refugees who fled to Europe have become far more radical after finding sanctuary there, and the new Jihad recruits will come from among them; meanwhile, a political genocide of Israel is underway in educated circles.
Ben-Dror Yemini

A ship carrying 104 refugees on their way from Libya to the shores of Italy was in distress and appeared to be sinking. One of the passengers began praying for his life. Some of the Muslims demanded that he pray to Allah – and Allah alone. But he was a Christian.

The Muslims flew into a rage; and with cries of "Allahu Akbar," they threw 12 Christians overboard. Cold-blooded murder. The remaining Christians formed a human chain and managed to put an end to the madness. An Italian rescue vessel arrived in time to prevent the refugee ship from sinking.

Fifteen of the passengers were arrested and will be charged with murder. Apparently, one doesn't have to be a member of Islamic State to be just like Islamic State. And the current wave of refugees is carrying such Muslim extremists into Europe too.

Geo-strategist Professor Arnon Soffer has claimed from time to time in recent years that the big tsunami is only a matter of time. Millions from Asia and Africa will try to make their way to the wealthy countries. The big flood has yet to begin, but something is afoot.

Over the past 10 days or so, four ships have capsized, including one carrying 400 refugees and then another with around 950 migrants on board. Most of the passengers drowned. Two smaller ships were added to the list in recent days. Some 1,500 people have drowned in a week. The Mediterranean Sea is becoming a huge graveyard. Approximately 3,200 drowned in 2014. A total of 22,000 since 2000.

Those are the numbers we know of. They could be a lot higher. It's clear by now that the number of fatalities this year will be higher than ever. The risk of death is not a deterrent. Last week, in just a single week, around 10,000 refugees landed on the shores of Italy. In 2014, the number hit 200,000. The figures this year will be much higher.

The migration began before the onset of the blood fest in the Muslim expanse. But the situation is becoming increasingly complicated. Islamic State is taking control of parts of Libya, along its Mediterranean coastline too. This week, the organization released a video of the slaughter of Ethiopian Christians by its people in Libya. Islamic State activists are perpetrating massacres on the beaches, and Islamic State activists are on the ships too.

And some of the refugees actually become much more radical after finding sanctuary among communities in Europe. The new Jihad recruits will come from among them. It's already happened; and there's more to come. They will join that same Jihad and that same path of death and destruction that will spark more waves of refugees escaping to Europe – and on it goes. And it's only getting worse.

Yemen, the poorest of the Arab countries, has absorbed hundreds of thousands of refugees from East Africa in the past decade. The direction of the flow has changed now. Hundreds of thousands are trying to flee the inferno in Yemen and head for Africa.

The road from there to the shores of the Middle East is a long one. When they try to veer in the other direction, South Africa isn't very welcoming. Six foreigners have been killed there in recent days in a wave of unrest against migrants.
Europe is caught in a trap. Providing assistance to the barely seaworthy boats, for the purpose of saving lives, will only encourage the migration, which is already breaking records. Leaving the boats and their passengers to fend for themselves, on the other hand, could border on a crime against humanity. A huge dilemma. And Europe has no answer.

Political genocide

The University of Southampton will not be hosting the "academic" conference on Israel's right to exist. A British court of law has upheld the university's decision, thus dismissing the organizers' petition to force the institution to stage the conference. The joy, however, is premature, because the university's decision was taken "on the grounds of health and safety."

These conference organizers, until now, have been Israel haters who've been very good at threatening and demonstrating and resorting to violence in an effort to disrupt or cause the cancelation of events considered pro-Israel. They’re now getting a taste of their own medicine.

Demonstration against Israel in London during last year's Gaza conflict (Photo: AP)

The thing is that Israel supporters wouldn't have caused trouble at the conference. They are too well-mannered. The conference should have been canceled for a different reason. A conference with the political objective of negating one particular state's right to exist – out of all the countries of the world – is not an academic conference. It's an academic disgrace.

After all, if anyone dared to initiate a conference calling into question the establishment of a Palestinian state or the existence of Croatia, he'd be committed – either on the grounds of insanity, or as a result of violent behavior.

But questioning the very existence of one particular country – a form of political genocide, "politicide" – is fair play; and opposition to the conference comes up against a herd of hypocrites who dare to speak of "freedom of expression."

The initiative to stage the conference is one of the low points of the academe of the free world. What next? An academic conference on denying women equal right? Holocaust denial?

After all, there are issues for which the premise of "academic freedom" can't serve even as a distasteful joke. Why is this not clear when it comes to a group of academics who preach the destruction of a country?

The Jihad-Genocide of the Armenians

by MARK KRIKORIAN April 24, 2015 4:00 AM

I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast – Revelation 20:4

The caliphate wages jihad against Christians. Victims are beheaded, crucified, and burned alive. Christian girls are sold into slavery. Centuries-old monuments are destroyed by jihadis. These events are ripped from the headlines — of 1915.

Friday marks the 100th anniversary of the start of the Armenian Genocide. On April 24, 1915, the Ottoman Caliphate launched a “decapitation strike” against the Armenian people by arresting and killing hundreds of their intellectual, political, religious, and business leaders in Constantinople, so as to make organized resistance impossible. That done, the extermination campaign began in earnest in the following weeks.

More than 1 million Armenians were murdered, along with large numbers of Christian Assyrians and Greeks, with the goal of engineering a Christenrein Anatolia. The remainder would have been killed as well — and the very name “Armenia” relegated to historical atlases, like Babylonia or Gaul — had not makeshift Armenian forces defeated the Ottomans trying to finish the job in the formerly Russian-occupied sliver of Armenia in 1918, after the withdrawal of Russian forces following the Bolshevik coup d’état six months earlier. Among the survivors was my maternal grandmother; most of her family was killed, but as a 15-year-old girl, she was sold into slavery, managing to escape later. My other three grandparents were already here, but their families were not heard from again.

The parallel with today’s depredations by ISIS’s so-called caliphate and other jihadists is not coincidental. Andrew Bostom points to what happened to the Armenians as an example of “jihad genocide,” traditional jihad “adapted to the conditions of modern warfare.” Bat Ye’or has written, “The genocide of the Armenians was a jihad,” adding that it was “the natural outcome of a policy inherent in the politico-religious structure of dhimmitude.” Perhaps the most disturbing continuity between the two caliphates was seen last fall in the town of Deir ez-Zor in eastern Syria, considered the Auschwitz of the Armenian Genocide. Then part of the Ottoman Empire, it was a major destination for death marches and boxcars and served as a sort of open-air concentration camp, where as many as 400,000 Armenians were killed. Decades later, the Armenian Church built a major memorial complex there, including the remains of many victims. ISIS took the town in September 2014. Its first order of business was to dynamite the church.

Armenians joined by Turks in marking 1915 mass killings

Thousands of Turks and Armenians from around the globe commemorated here the centenary of the 1915 mass killings of Armenians in the Ottoman Empire.
Events organised by Turkish and foreign non-governmental organisations were held in Istanbul throughout Friday to mark the anniversary of the killings.
The commemorations went ahead despite Turkey's rejection of the term "genocide" to describe the killings, and as world leaders joined hundreds of thousands of Armenians in Yerevan, capital of Armenia, to commemorate the deaths, Al Jazeera reported.
Turkey earlier this month recalled its ambassadors to the Vatican and the Austrian capital of Vienna for consultations after they called the mass killings of 1915 a "genocide".
The European Parliament also passed a non-binding resolution last week, calling upon Turkey to recognise the "Armenian genocide", a move which prompted condemnation from Ankara.
In Taksim Square, the heart of Istanbul, an event attended by thousands of people and guarded by hundreds of security forces featured Armenian music and speeches by local and international community leaders.

Italy: Islamic Terrorists Arrested in Vatican Plot

Suspected Al-Qaeda militants arrested in Italy for Vatican plot
Sat Apr 25, 2015 2:02am BST

By Philip Pullella

ROME (Reuters) - Italian police on Friday arrested 10 people and were looking for eight others suspected of belonging to an armed group linked to al Qaeda who had plotted attacks in Pakistan and Afghanistan and at least at one point the Vatican.

Some of the suspects, who are all Pakistanis and Afghans, were arrested in early morning raids across Italy. Police burst into the home of the group's suspected spiritual leader, in the northern city of Bergamo, a video released by them showed.

Though the 18 suspects were plotting attacks mainly in their native countries, phone taps suggest the Vatican was also a target, said Mauro Mura, chief prosecutor of the Sardinian city of Cagliari, where the group had its headquarters.

688 people have died in the massive earthquake

KATHMANDU, Nepal (AP) — A top Nepalese official says at least 688 people have died in the massive earthquake that struck outside Kathmandu.

Home Ministry official Laxmi Dhakal says that the death toll is almost certain to rise following Saturday's quake.

The quake with a preliminary magnitude of 7.8 struck before noon and was most severely felt in the capital as well as the densely populated Kathmandu Valley. A magnitude-6.6 aftershock hit about an hour later, and smaller aftershocks continued to ripple through the region for hours.

Turkey's 'Muslim God, Erdogan: The Sun of the Age

"...Apparently, Erdogan and his followers believe that he is not just the "supreme leader" who cannot be criticized; there is an even more worrying side of literal worship to Erdogan among his pious supporters.

...As Turkish columnist Mustafa Akyol reminded readers in a recent article, a government deputy declared in 2011 that "even touching Erdogan is a form of worship," and in 2014 another government deputy proclaimed that Erdogan "carries all the attributes of Allah in himself.

Akyol writes that a recent book, "Recep Tayyip Erdogan: The Sun of the Age," proudly refers to the president as "an idol for our youth," which would sound bizarre, if not heretical, to the average Islamist. "Such views, heretical from a traditional Islamic perspective, were criticized and ridiculed by Erdogan's opponents, but he conspicuously said nothing," Akyol comments.

Erdogan, who has never hidden his appreciation for praise and rigid intolerance of criticism, may be happy for being portrayed as "The Sun of the Age," or by being associated with Allah. He probably believes that he possesses near-holy qualities gifted to him by Allah for the advancement of Islam as a political ideology, both in Turkey and in the former Ottoman lands"

I Was a Transgender Woman

The reprieve provided by surgery and life as a woman was only temporary. Hidden deep underneath the make-up and female clothing was the little boy hurt by childhood trauma, and he was making himself known.

It was a pivotal scene. A mom was brushing a boy’s long hair, the boy slowly turned his head to look at her. In a tentative voice, he asked, “Would you love me if I were a boy?” The mom was raising her boy to become a trans-girl.

In that split second, I was transported back to my childhood. I remembered my grandmother standing over me, guiding me, dressing me in a purple chiffon dress. The boy in that glowing documentary about parents raising transgender kids dared to voice a question I always wanted to ask. Why didn’t she love me the way I was?

I am haunted by that boy and his question. What will the trans-kids of 2015 be like sixty years from now? Documentaries and news stories only give us a snapshot in time. They are edited to romanticize and normalize the notion of changing genders and to convince us that enlightened parents should help their children realize their dreams of being the opposite gender.

I want to tell you my story. I want you to have the opportunity to see the life of a trans-kid, not in a polished television special, but across more than seven decades of life, with all of its confusion, pain, and redemption.

The Trans-Kid

It wasn’t my mother but my grandmother who clothed me in a purple chiffon dress she made for me. That dress set in motion a life filled with gender dysphoria, sexual abuse, alcohol and drug abuse, and finally, an unnecessary gender reassignment surgery. My life was ripped apart by a trusted adult who enjoyed dressing me as a girl.

My mom and dad didn’t have any idea that when they dropped their son off for a weekend at Grandma’s that she was dressing their boy in girls’ clothes. Grandma told me it was our little secret. My grandmother withheld affirmations of me as a boy, but she lavished delighted praise upon me when I was dressed as a girl. Feelings of euphoria swept over me with her praise, followed later by depression and insecurity about being a boy. Her actions planted the idea in me that I was born in the wrong body. She nourished and encouraged the idea, and over time it took on a life of its own.

Obama calls for end to conversion therapy for LGBT youth

Obama calls for end to conversion

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - U.S. President Barack Obama called on Wednesday for an end to psychiatric therapies that seek to change the sexual orientation of gay, lesbian and transgender youth, the White House said.

The White House statement, written by senior adviser Valerie Jarrett, is in response to a petition calling for Obama to back a law to ban conversion therapy, which is supported by some socially conservative organizations and religious doctors.

The petition was started following the suicide in December of 17-year-old transgender youth Leelah Alcorn, who died after her parents forced her to attend conversion therapy, pulled her out of school and isolated her in an attempt to change her gender identity.

"The overwhelming scientific evidence demonstrates that conversion therapy, especially when it is practiced on young people, is neither medically nor ethically appropriate and can cause substantial harm," Jarrett said.

"As part of our dedication to protecting America’s youth, this Administration supports efforts to ban the use of conversion therapy for minors," she said.

The petition said that on Sunday, Dec. 27, 2014, Alcorn wrote a suicide note, posted it on Tumblr and then walked in front of a semi-trailer.

By This We Know Love in Deed and Truth

1 John 3:16

16 By this we know love, that he laid down his life for us, and we ought to lay down our lives for the brothers. 17But if anyone has the world’s goods and sees his brother in need, yet closes his heart against him, how does God’s love abide in him? 18Little children, let us not love in word or talk but in deed and in truth.

19 By this we shall know that we are of the truth and reassure our heart before him; 20for whenever our heart condemns us, God is greater than our heart, and he knows everything. 21Beloved, if our heart does not condemn us, we have confidence before God; 22and whatever we ask we receive from him, because we keep his commandments and do what pleases him. 23And this is his commandment, that we believe in the name of his Son Jesus Christ and love one another, just as he has commanded us. 24Whoever keeps his commandments abides in God,d and Gode in him. And by this we know that he abides in us, by the Spirit whom he has given us.

‘Are You Muslim or Christian? Death to Christians!’

Muslim wholesale slaughter of Christians struck again on April 2 in Kenya.  Gunmen from the Somali Islamic group, Al Shabaab—“the youth”—stormed Garissa University, singled out Christian students, and murdered them, some beheaded.  A total of 147 people were killed in the attack—making this jihad more spectacular than the 2013 Al Shabaab attack on a Nairobi mall, which left 67 people dead (then, Islamic gunmen also singled out Christians for slaughter).

According to eyewitnesses present at Garissa University, the Islamic gunmen were careful to separate Christians from Muslims before they began the carnage of the former.  After all, although Kenya is 83% Christian, it is approximately 11% Muslim.  Joel Ayora, who survived the attack, said gunmen burst into a Christian service, seized worshippers, and then “proceeded to the hostels, shooting anybody they came across except their fellows, the Muslims.”
Collins Wetangula, vice chairman of the student union, said he could hear from inside his room where he was hiding the gunmen opening doors and inquiring if the people inside were Muslims or Christians: “If you were a Christian you were shot on the spot.  With each blast of the gun I thought I was going to die.”
The fact that Christians were singled out and slaughtered has received little attention in the mainstream media: most mention it, but only towards the very bottom as an incidental, peripheral matter of little significance (see for example the BBC’s minimal treatment); others portray it as a new tactic or phenomenon.
...This is the jihad on Christians that is raging all around the world wherever Muslims make for sizable populations—the jihad that will eventually go viral in the West according to Islam’s unwavering Rule of Numbers.
RAYMOND IBRAHIM is a widely published author, public speaker, and Middle East and Islam specialist.  His books include Crucified Again: Exposing Islam’s New War on Christians (2013) and The Al Qaeda Reader (2007).

Shocking Passover Blood Moon Predictions by Israeli Rabbi

Breaking Israel News

“The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and terrible day of the LORD come.” (Joel 3:2)

A mystic rabbi living in southern Israel is urging all Jews to pray and repent as the third Blood Moon of a tetrad cycle approaches.

Rabbi Amram Vaknin, who similarly predicted the events of the Gaza flotilla and the Carmel forest fire in 2010, and Operations Pillar of Defense (2012) and Protective Edge (2014), warns that Israel is facing great judgment and potential danger at this time.

One of Rabbi Vaknin’s students, Gil Nachman, spoke to Breaking Israel News and, quoting the sage, explained that the numeric value of the Hebrew word for blood, dam, which is 44, alludes to the 44th president of the United States.

WATCH: Rabbi Vaknin Calling for Jewish Repentance

Vaknin predicted that the 44th president would bring bloodshed (dam) to the Jewish people. It should be noted that the rabbi made this prediction before President Barack Obama’s election to office.

Vaknin believes that only 44 plus one, or 45, can counter the danger represented by the blood moons. This, he says, is Adam, or Man, which in this case refers to the Messiah.

Rabbi Vaknin called for a day of prayer at the Western Wall this past Wednesday to encourage the arrival of the Messiah and the redemption of the Jewish people and the world.

According to their Facebook page, “In these critical times, Am Israel must join together to pray to Hashem to send us Mashiach Ben David!!!”

blood moon tetrad 2014-2015

The repeated number four is also noteworthy, as in addition to the value of 44 and the four Blood Moons of the tetrad, this will be the shortest total lunar eclipse of the 21st century, lasting a mere four minutes, 44 seconds.

Rabbi Vaknin is not alone amongst Jews in associating the current tetrad with Jewish redemption. With the first and third Blood Moons in this current tetrad cycle coinciding with Passover, and the second and fourth with the Feast of Tabernacles, the connections to times of redemption run deep.

The Talmud states, “In [the Hebrew month of] Nisan our forefathers were redeemed from Egypt, and in Nisan we will be redeemed.” Likewise, the Feast of the Tabernacles is associated in Jewish tradition with the battle of Gog and Magog, the final war that is said to precede the final redemption and arrival of the Messiah.

Moreover, this year in Israel is a Sabbatical, or shmitta, year, a time in which the land of Israel is commanded to be left fallow. notes a statement by the Sages in the Talmud which says, “In the sixth [year there will be] voices [of war], in the seventh [there will be] war, and at the end of the shmitta, the [Messiah] son of Jesse will arrive.” Although the Talmud never states in which seven-year cycle in history this will be fulfilled, the website suggested that thus far, our modern period fits the description.

Iran deal threatens Israel's existence

Iran deal threatens Israel's existence, Binyamin Netanyahu tells Obama

Israel prime minister set to convene meeting with senior ministers to discuss framework deal reached between world powers and Iran

Israel’s prime minister, Binyamin Netanyahu, will convene a meeting with his senior cabinet ministers and security officials on Friday to discuss the draft agreement between Iran and world powers on Iran’s nuclear programme – a deal that Netanyahu has fiercely condemned as a “threat to Israel’s existence”.

It is becoming increasingly clear that Israeli tactics during the negotiations have left it marginalised and with seriously diminished leverage to alter the outcome if the deal is ratified at the end of June.

In a statement released in the early hours of Friday morning after Barack Obama called the Israeli PM to discuss the deal, Netanyahu said: “A deal that is based on this framework will threaten Israel’s existence … The alternative is to stand firmly and increase pressure on Iran until a better deal is reached.

“This deal would legitimise Iran’s nuclear programme, bolster Iran’s economy and increase Iran’s aggression and terror throughout the Middle East and beyond,” he said. “It would increase the risks of nuclear proliferation in the region and the risks of a horrific war.”

According to the Israeli prime minister’s office, during the phone conversation Netanyahu referred to comments made by a leader of the hardline Iranian Basij militia that “the destruction of Israel is non-negotiable”.

“In these fateful days Iran is accelerating the arming of its terror proxies to attack Israel,” Netanyahu added.

2014-15 Unprecedented Blood Moons

Blood Moons Coming

"...These coming BLOOD MOONS begin April 15, 2014 and end Sept. 28,2015.
NASA also tells us that the “fullest” view of this first BLOOD MOON will be seen across North and South America, Australia, and Pacifica at exactly 3:47 AM Eastern Standard Time the night of April 15,2014. This date will be easy to remember, it’s IRS tax day.

Now, even more RARE is the fact that the coming BLOOD MOONS will be occurring exactly to the day on 2 of the most special Holy Holidays (Feasts) of the Lord as described in Leviticus 23:2. Those being 2 consecutive Feasts of Passover and 2 consecutive Feasts of Tabernacles. The Feast of Passover marks the day when the Lord supernaturally enables the Exodus from Egypt of all the enslaved Jewish people and their leader Moses, some 3,500 years ago. The Feast of Tabernacles welcomes the Glory of God’s protection and the coming of his presence to all Jews and Gentiles alike.

Here’s the kicker. This amazing phenomenon of “BIBLICAL” BLOOD MOONS has occurred only 7 previous times in world history since 3000 BC."
