Grand Mufti & Pope Pray Toward Mecca: “May Allah accept it”

Pope Francis and Grand Mufti Yaran

ISTANBUL — On the second leg of his trip to Turkey, Pope Francis was welcomed on Saturday by curious bystanders and tourists from around the world as he visited the historical district here to deliver his message of further interreligious dialogue for peace.

Istanbul, which is home to several cultural landmarks for both Christians and Muslims, offered the pope an ideal venue to put his message into action. The pope, 77, first visited the Sultan Ahmet Mosque of Muslims, then Hagia Sophia, now a museum but formerly the leading temple for Eastern Orthodox Christians. Both monumental structures overlook the same yard.

In the Sultan Ahmet Mosque, also known as the Blue Mosque, the pope did not wrap his hands under his chest to resemble the Islamic tradition, as did his predecessor, Benedict XVI, in 2006, but he bowed his head and clasped his hands alongside the city’s senior cleric for a two-minute silent prayer, both facing the direction of Mecca. “May Allah accept it,” said Rahmi Yaran, the grand mufti of Istanbul, as the two finished their prayers.

6.8 Magnitude Earthquake Hits off Eastern Indonesia

Powerful Earthquake Hits off Eastern Indonesia

A powerful earthquake struck off the coast of eastern Indonesia late Wednesday, prompting villagers to flee to higher ground, but officials said a tsunami was unlikely.
There were no immediate reports of injuries or serious damage.
The U.S. Geological Survey said the magnitude-6.8 quake hit about 161 kilometers (100 miles) northwest of Ternate, the provincial capital of North Maluku, and was centered 41 kilometers (25 miles) below the seabed. The U.S. National Tsunami Warning Center said based on historical records the quake was not sufficient to trigger a tsunami.
George Rajaloa, a resident of Ternate, said by telephone that many people ran out of their homes and away from coastal areas out of fear that there would be a tsunami.
Indonesia is prone to earthquakes due to its location on the Pacific "Ring of Fire," an arc of volcanoes and fault lines in the Pacific Basin. In 2004, a massive earthquake off Sumatra triggered a tsunami that killed 230,000 people in a dozen countries.

Sexual Orientation and the Gospel of Jesus Christ

"...This controversy will inevitably demonstrate the basic worldview divide that separates the secular therapeutic community and evangelical Christians. The politicians, the mental health industry, and the media will have their own debate on the matter, but Christians now face the urgent challenge of thinking about these issues in a way that is fully biblical and theological — and thus faithful to the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
First, we face the fact that the Bible clearly, repeatedly, consistently, and comprehensively reveals the sinfulness of all homosexual behaviors. This truth is set within the larger context of the Bible’s revelation concerning the Creator’s plan and purpose for human sexuality — a context that is centered in the marital union of a man and a woman as the exclusive arena for human sexual activity. This flies in the face of the contemporary demand for the full normalization of homosexuality. As the joint statement of the “Just the Facts Coalition” declares, “both heterosexuality and homosexuality are normal expressions of human sexuality.”

Rick Warren Embraces Roman Catholicism: "We're better together"

Rick Warren interviewed by Diane Montagna, the Rome correspondent for Aleteia

What would you say is the significance of this colloquium being held inside the Vatican, so close to the tomb and to the very bones of St. Peter?

Yes. In the first place, it is so historic as the center of one billion Catholics. Even for non-Catholics, our roots are all the same. For 1000 years, there wasn’t any other kind of Christian.

The point is that we all have these same great saints in our lives. I think the beauty is that we have far more in common than we have what separates us. When you think about it, what is a Christian? They believe in the Trinity  Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. They believe in the Resurrection. They believe in the Bible. They believe that Jesus Christ died for our sins. If you believe those things, we’re on the same team. We may have different disagreements on other issues, but if you love Jesus Christ, you’re my brother, my sister.

That unity was shown here. The sanctity of sex, the sanctity of life, the sanctity of marriage—every true Christian will agree on those. They may disagree on other things, but they will agree on that. And they’ll say that we have to work together because we’re more effective and better together than we are apart.

6.7 Magnitude Quake Rattles Japan

TOKYO — A magnitude 6.7 earthquake injured at least 39 people and knocked out power to hundreds in a mountainous region of central Japan late Saturday. Firefighters were dispatched in the middle of the night to rescue people trapped inside homes in the village of Hakuba, west of Nagano. Police said at least seven of the injuries were "serious." Power and water were out to around 500 villagers in the region, and at least one train line was stopped due to a landslide blocking tracks.
Ryo Nishino, a restaurant owner in Hakuba, a ski resort village west of Nagano, told Japanese broadcaster NHK that he had "never experienced a quake that shook so hard. The sideways shaking was enormous," he said, according to The Associated Press.
The hardest-hit area appeared to be Hakuba, which hosted events in the 1998 games and where at least 30 homes were destroyed, the Nagano prefecture government told the AP. Another seven homes were lost in Otari, a nearby village to the north, AP reported.

Deadly Earthquake Hits Western China

Associated Press
Nov. 22, 2014 7:28 a.m. ET
BEIJING—A strong earthquake struck a lightly populated, mountainous area of western China on Saturday, killing at least one person and causing minor damage to buildings, officials and state media said.

The U.S. Geological Survey said the magnitude-5.9 quake had a depth of 14.6 kilometers (9 miles). It struck in the late afternoon about 30 kilometers (20 miles) from the town of Kangding in Sichuan province. China’s seismological agency gave the magnitude as 6.3.

Oklahoma: Muslim attacks Christian with knife, says Muslims need to “step up” beheadings

Where did Stepney get the idea that “more Muslims need to step up to the plate” and behead people? Was it at his local mosque? And what mosque does he go to? Does anyone know? Does anyone care?

“Man arrested, accused of slashing man after heated religious conversation,” by Dave Detling,, November 18, 2014 (thanks to Pamela Geller):

On Monday authorities responded to a 911 about an assault in the 1400 block of Northeast 11th Street.

Upon their arrival, officers learned the victim, Jerome Bullock and 54-year-old Jimmy Stepney had been arguing about the Bible and the Quran.

According to the arrest affidavit, Stepney is a Muslim and the Bullock is a Christian.

The report went on to say Stepney had been making comments about beheading people.

“We were watching the news,” said Bullock. “He said he felt like more Muslims need to step up to the plate and do certain thing. He was talking about beheading people.”

Because of the statement, Bullock says he asked Stepney, who’d been staying with the family, to leave.

Stepney complied but eventually came back and started arguing with Bullock.

According to the arrest affidavit, the pair began fighting in the yard after Stepney allegedly punched the victim.

Witnesses told officers that Stepney had a knife and was attempting to stab the victim. That’s when Bullock’s mother, Diane Range, came out with a baseball bat and started swinging at Stepney.

“He was trying to kill my son,” said Range.

Bullock suffered minor cuts from the fight and Stepney was able to walk away.

“I was just trying to pay it forward by helping him out,” said Bullock. “Instead I got a lot of cuts and hurt feelings.”…

The Muslim Antichrist Has Just Given The Most Important And Shocking Speech Of The Century

By Walid Shoebat (Shoebat Exclusive) with special thanks to The Right Scoop
In what we consider to be the most shocking video recordings of Turkey’s Recep Tayyip Erdoğan at two speeches in Istanbul which reveals the amazing evidence to what has been saying over a decade, the spirit, goal and aim of the Muslim Antichrist which seems to all manifest in Turkey’s star leader. Erdogan expressed his desire to catapult Turkey into an Islamic Empire stemming from Istanbul and covering the entire Muslim world in support of the Caliphate dream map of a ten-Muslim state confederacy.
In two remarkable astonishing recorded speeches one can summarize the definition of Antichrist, who is a Hitler type figure, except this arising prince is not originating from Europe’s Germany but from Turkey (1). The Turkish Sultan wanna be Caliph, Hitler-Erdogan,  who is beginning to fit the bill as he displayed his demonic tirades and hallucinations proclaiming Muslims as a special people going as far as propounding the “Sun Language Theory”, which described how the Turkish language was the world’s original language from which all others were derived as in the original Babel. He claimed Muslims discovered America before Columbus and that when Cuba was first discovered it had a mosque on a hill and thereby a mosque should be built there.

Erdogan’s intent was really reiterating the Quran in which it stated that the “earth belongs to Allah” and that Turkey will usher the Prince of the Faithful who will be the Caliph, Allah’s custodian of the Muslim world.
The dignitaries watching were elated at the myth though they had the pleasure of believing it. Bertrand Russell’s book Power analyzes tyranny is that it depends on a “huge system of organised lying” to keep “their followers out of contact with reality”, therefore Erdogan and Hitler have much in common, even that Hitler as in Erdogan admired Islam and wanted it for Germany instead of what he termed “flabby Christianity” when Hitler stated: “”You see, it’s been our misfortune to have the wrong religion. Why didn’t we have the religion of the Japanese, who regard sacrifice for the Fatherland as the highest good? The Mohammedan religion too would have been much more compatible to us than Christianity. Why did it have to be Christianity with its meekness and flabbiness….” (Quoted from Albert Speer’s memoirs)

And in another recording of yet a more significant speech, Erdogan’s statements bears a rather striking resemblance to some of the propaganda that has come out of ISIS when the Turkish president blasted the Sykes-Picot Agreement, a secret understanding that divided up the Middle East after World War I between British and French spheres of influence showing a serious convergence of views between ISIS and Erdoğan. (2)  In this remarkable speech Erdogan says it all:

Erdogan said: “this war [WWI] shaped the Middle East today. And more importantly, it sparked all the crisis and conflicts”
He then hones in on the necessity of a neo-Ottomanist plan complaining, blaming a western caused Sunni-Siite sectarian divide and that a western aggressive policy is taking place that aims to to dominate the region emphasizing the need to revive the legacy of the Ottoman Empire, which at its peak dominated according to Erdogan “the Middle East, South East Europe, The Caucasus, and North Africa” which for centuries was under the rule of Sunni Islam before its collapse in 1918 at the end of WWI. Erdogan saying that this region was established from Ottoman sovereignty which in his view needs to be re-established:
“This is very important. Approximately 100 years ago, from Bosnia-Herzegovina to Yemen, from Georgia to Libya, a very large region of the world was ruled from here, from Istanbul were we stand today”.
Erdogan vows to remove “the zigzags” (borders) saying “I will not go into detail”.
Once one puts all the pieces of his speech, Erdogan is speaking of the very map of ISIS. In what he called “Churchill’s hiccup”, referring to Churchill as a drunk who in his hiccup divided Muslim territory. ISIS explicitly are out to erase the borders that Sykes-Picot established across most of the modern Middle East intending to remove borders in order to establish the very ten Muslim state league which they currently proclaimed as 13 states, that is, after they reclaim Spain, eastern Europe and Ethiopia.

The very deadly wound and the sick man of Europe (the Ottomans) was blamed on the West and Erdogan wants to not only heal it, but to revive its deadly wound:
“The Ottoman State was able to to maintain the entire region in unity and harmony. Now we all need to accept that above all“.
The world according to Erdogan, needs to accept the Ottoman sovereignty to rule the entire Muslim world and more, not only Europe, but even the Americas was discovered by Muslims, therefore, it too belong to Islam. As revealed in the past, Erdogan now says that he wants to bring in a Shiite-Sunni unity:
“For example, the Shiite in the region has been split between three countries. Similarly, the Turkmen have been split into separate countries. The Druze of Lebanon who were very few at the time, have been divided between three countries. The Kurds have also been divided between three different countries to the point that some villages were split right down the middle. Countries such as Syria, Iraq, Jordan and Lebanon, were created after WWI and were largely unheard of before.”
Erdogan is speaking of a worldwide Sunni-Shiite unification, which will include Shiite Iran. It is crucial to understand that the Iranian revolutionary leaders are also Azeri Turks and have kinship with the Ottomans. The Turks also do not hold the same animosity towards Shiite ideology, as do Sunni Arabs.
Iran can’t afford loosing its relationship with Turkey. Turkey and Iran have a common interest in preventing an independent Kurdish nation. The more the United States supports the Iraqi Kurds there will be a greater danger of an Iranian-Turkish alliance, which is what we project, will happen.
Iran and Turkey are locked into an alliance. Erdoğan even sacrificed Fethullah Gülen on the altar of Iranian-Turkish unity and it even clashed with Israel over several issues’ like the Gaza Flotilla and Erodgan’s foreign minister Ahmet Davutoglu’s made much effort to improve ties with Iran. We have been addressing Turkey for two decades, way back when Turkey was an ally of Israel; we were laughed at when we said that the two would become mortal enemies.
The Ezekiel 38 program is on course, Gog is a leader from Turkey who unites with Persia (Iran), Libya and Egypt in the Muslim “league” (Ezekiel 30:8). Erdogan a Sunni declared it openly now, he is interested in a grand dream; uniting Shiite and Sunni, Kurd and Druze, Syrian and Turk under one banner, with the masses behind him carrying the “fiery red, hyacinth blue, and sulfur yellow” flags (Revelation 19:17) alongside the dragon-red flag with the two-horned crescent of Islam even aiming his attention on the woman-clothed with the sun, Israel whom through the Church and God’s appointed Messiah will crush this crescent under the woman’s feet. Erdogan’s partner, Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoğlu is already crying out for not only Jerusalem, but sovereignty over what was the Holy Temple of God:
“Nothing will keep Turkey from “protecting Jerusalem and the al-Aqsa Mosque [Temple Mount]“
He also stated, while reiterating his warnings to Israel saying on Nov. 11:
“From here, I once more call on Israel and Israel’s brutal rulers: Don’t you dare considering resuming these attacks against al-Quds [Jerusalem] and the al-Aqsa Mosque [Temple Mount], regarding … internal turmoil and tension in the Islamic world as an opportunity. Even if everyone remains silent, the government of the Republic of Turkey will not keep silent”.
The situation is of two Gods, one who says “I will not be silent” when it comes to Al-Quds [Jerusalem], trying to mimic the ancient God of the Hebrew: “For Zion’s sake I will not keep silent, for Jerusalem’s sake I will not remain quiet, till her vindication shines out like the dawn, her salvation like a blazing torch” (Isaiah 62:1) Erdogan said to the OIC (Organization of Islamic Council) that “Jerusalem is the apple of the eye of every Muslim” mimicking God “whoever touches you touches the apple of his eye” (Zechariah 2:7-8)
We stated back in July “It is crucial to note that Turkey is the best candidate to make peace between Shiites and Sunnis because they are Sufi Muslim” and now Erdogan addresses the issue, just as we predicted he will:
“when it comes to Iraq why are there such bloody conflicts between Shiite and Sunnis?”
And just as we predicted all along, Erdogan blamed Syces-Picot:
“Sykes Picot was not only meant to delineate borders, but to draw divisive borders in the mind”
Erdogan ensures:
“Allah willing we will remove all the borders in the hearts and minds that were created from WWI … trust me many people will follow our beliefs”.
Erdogan is blaming the West of fomenting all the violence forgetting that it was the imperialism of the Ottomans which created the mass persecution of Christians for centuries prior to WWI. While Erdogan claims that he does not want to interfere in each nation’s affairs, he emphasized:
“I am an ardent supporter of the absolute and definite need, to open the borders in the hearts and minds of people. If you cannot lift the borders in the hearts and minds of the people, it will never be possible to find solutions to the conflicts that have paved the region for the past 100 years.”
He asks a very crucial issue:
“take the Arabs, Kurds and the Turkmen, despite the fact that they adhere to the same beliefs, values and culture, why are they a continuous state of conflict?”
Erdogan is calling to establish a covenant “peace treaty with many” stating that Turkey is the only beacon to do this:
“Turkey by taking the right steps is the only country that can ensure peace and stability in the region“
He wants to bring the entire Muslim world at the table to give allegiance to the Ottomans who in his view  by bringing them to establish a peace treaty will unite the entire Muslim world.
If an antichrist is to rise, Erdogan or Davutoğlu are the two best candidates, whether one of them is or is not, these truly manifest some signs. We were correct this whole time, Erdogan, from the prophetic vision, to predicting the conspiracy aiding ISIS against the western powers. As the West is aiding the Kurds, Erdogan says it clearly, he is against it:
“Do you think those spending hundreds of millions of dollars, in order to bomb the region, brought these planes and missiles for the sake of peace? Absolutely not“.
Erdogan wants to blame the West while proclaiming himself the man to usher the true peace of Islam for Muslims.
Shockingly, Erdogan then hones in the harlot, Arabia:
“A hundred years ago there were spies in the Arabian desert aiming to destroy the Ottoman Empire and they still exist today”
Notice, the “spies” are the Arabs allied with the western coalition who a century ago gave the final crushing blow to the Ottoman and now are still current via the U.S-led coalition.
Its a century old wound and as we said, the Muslim will revenge, even if it takes him a hundred years later, we have stated it countless times, both Iran and Turkey want revenge and this means their fill of the Arab harlot’s blood, the desert which issued forth the blood-drinking religion of Islam and Mecca will pay the price through destruction. Saudi Arabia, the nation that allowed the Islamist boogeyman out of the box will be as the mother spider who gets eaten by her offspring.
And how many times we discussed Lawrence of Arabia and how Turkey holds a historic long memory against Saudi Arabia’s aid to oust the Ottomans during the Sharif Hussein revolt (1916-1918) when the Turks shelled Mecca and crushed the Black Stone, the very parallel to what’s coming in the future when Iran and Turkey destroy the harlot (see Isaiah 21). And this week, in a furious anti-Western diatribe, the Turkish president compared the outside meddling in the region now to the role the renowned British army officer played during the Arab Revolt against the Ottomans during World War I; Lawrence of Arabia and spoke on the betrayal of Saudi Arabia.
The “spy” hunt was no joke. Erdogan accused western journalists of being spies which thrilled Erdoğan’s supporters when the Turkish government went on the hunt. In southern Turkey, some local officials in his Justice and Development Party (AKP) even expressed sympathy for ISIS. Erdoğan in gestapo style, even argued there are modern-day ‘Lawrences’ in Turkey right now “disguised as journalists, religious men, writers and terrorists” to only have ‘spies’  (journalists) arrested by anti-terrorist police, three of them German after they were hauled before a court for a preliminary hearing in the southeastern Turkey of Diyarbakır.
Erdogan truly believes in his grandiose plans for Turkey to become the organizing force of the Middle East. The Ottoman Sultans, after all, were the last Caliphs, ruling over the territory that Islamic State wants to rebuild into a grotesque parody of the old Caliphates.
Erdogan’s speech marks the 100 year anniversary of the World War I which saw the collapse of the 700 year old Turkish Ottoman Empire, and is why on Friday Prime Minister Davotuglu spoke of Turkey’s Ottoman colonial territories as if they still belong to them arguing that Jerusalem has been entrusted with the Turks by Muslim caliph Omar Bin Al-Khattab when he invaded it removing the crosses from all the holy places and replacing them with crescents.

Muslims Chant to Remove Jesus at Washington’s National Cathedral

Thursday, November 20, 2014 |  David Lazarus

It looked like a chilling scene from a Last Days, anti-Christ-takes-over-the-world disaster movie. Hundreds of Muslims take over America’s most notable church, prostrate on their prayer rugs as their unified chant echoes out in full volume: “There is only one god, he begets not and I bear witness that Muhammad is His only servant and Apostle."

Only this was not a movie. This was the scene, last Friday, for the first time in history, at the iconic National Cathedral in Washington, where orthodox Muslim clerics were invited to lead an Islamic prayer service. A congregation of hundreds were lead by an Imam in declaring that “god has no son, that Jesus Christ cannot be his son, and that there is no god like Allah.”

Only a single middle-age woman jumped up in the middle of the service and shouted, “America was founded on Christian principles. . . . Leave our church alone!” She was escorted quickly out of the church by security guards.

The National Cathedral in Washington, DC has been an extremely important symbol of the Christian roots of the United States. The cathedral was designated by Congress as America's "National House of Prayer." The church has hosted a number of inaugural presidential prayer services, including Franklin Roosevelt and both presidents Bush.

The Rev. Franklin Graham, son of evangelist Billy Graham, took to Facebook in reaciton to the Muslim prayer service:

“The National Cathedral in Washington, DC–one of the most prominent Episcopal churches in America–will host a Muslim prayer service to Allah. It’s sad to see a church open its doors to the worship of anything other than the One True God of the Bible, who sent His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ, to earth to save us from our sins. Jesus was clear when He said, 'I am the way the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me' (John 14:6)."

As of this writing, 80,000 people had “liked” Graham’s post.

The Islamic service at the cathedral was ostensibly intended to promote interfaith dialogue. Its organizers said that they hoped the service would “help correct some Americans’ misperceptions of Muslims as extremists and reinforce tolerance among faiths.”

However, it is hard to understand how a Christian church opening its sanctuary for Islamic prayers that renonce Jesus Christ contributes to interfaith tolerance. Muslims would never allow a Christian to preach the Gospel in a mosque. Palestinian Muslims continue to ban all Jews and Christians from praying at the Temple Mount in Jerusalem. It would appear that “interfaith dialogue and tolerance” are just more code words calling for Muslims to rise up and conquer.

The Washington Post reported that the Islamic prayer service was closed to the public because of security concerns. Armed guards checked every person and every bag of those in attendance.

Islam is growing rapidly around the world, and is now the third-largest religion in the United States, behind Christianity and Judaism, with an estimated 2.6 million American Muslim citizens.

Rick Warren Validates The Vatican

Editor's note:

The Purpose Driven Network has been hitched to Roman Catholicism since the release of the Purpose Driven Life, now it's using marriage between a natural man and woman to reinforce the bridge...

Oh, look...the "Church" is now the Protestants and the Roman Catholics!  The Un - Reformation of the 21st Century.  Let's just erase the blood of the Martyrs, Rick.

Gee, did you ( and the SBC ) have to go to Rome to state the obvious?  Apparently the common folk need your and the pope's insight on this politically delicate issue!

If you disagree, call your politician, not the pope.

Oh, wait...the pope is the political leader of the nation-state known as the Vatican.

Good job, Rick ( & SBC ).

This one's for you, Coach...

"Marriage can only be between a man and a woman," Rick Warren told an audience at the Vatican yesterday.
Speaking before Pope Francis' Humanum conference in Rome, the bestselling author and pastor of Saddleback church in California passionately defended traditional marriage.
"The Bible says you are to honour marriage. Sadly, today we all know marriage is dishonoured by a lot of people. It's dismissed as archaic, man-made tradition. It's denounced as an enemy of's demeaned in movies and television and it's delayed out of fear that it will limit one's personal freedom. So today instead of being honoured, marriage is ridiculed, resented, rejected and redefined," he said.
"What are we going to do about this? The Church cannot cower in silence...the stakes are too high."
Warren argued that God reveals his presence and his character through marriage, that gender ideology "confuses our identity and destroys our dignity" and that the covenant of marriage and the act of sex parallel an intimate relationship with God.
He therefore stressed the importance of following Jesus' teaching on marriage, rather than bowing to "fads, feelings, opinions or political correctness".
"We build our lives on the unchanging truth of God's Word," Warren said. "You see, truth, is still truth, no matter how many people doubt it. I may deny the law of gravity, but it doesn't change gravity. And just because we break God's laws, does not invalidate them."

Seven Dead, 100+ Trapped in Monster Winter Storm

Snow Emergency: Seven Dead, 100+ Trapped in Monster Winter Storm

Troopers in all-terrain vehicles and rescue crews working without sleep set out Wednesday to reach drivers trapped in a ferocious winter storm that dumped more than 5 feet of snow outside Buffalo, New York — with plenty more on the way.
About 140 miles of Interstate 90, the main artery running east and west across New York state, remained closed, from Rochester to the New York-Pennsylvania state line. There was no word when it would reopen.
More than 100 cars were reported trapped. Drivers ran out of food and patience.
"Mother Nature is showing us who's boss once again," Gov. Andrew Cuomo said. "This snowfall may break all sorts of records, and that's saying something in western New York and in Buffalo."
A Greyhound bus was stranded for a day and a half on I-90. People stared out the windows at a highway littered with abandoned cars. The bus was running on a generator, and passengers could charge their phones, but they were hungry, said Endjie Ulysses, a college student who was on board.
After 34 hours, the people on board were finally rescued by a state trooper.
"I'm feeling OK. I'm just tired," Ulysses told NBC News by phone from the bus. "I've only slept for about two or three hours."

100 years ago today, the last Caliph, or emperor of Islam, declared the last Jihad against the infidel-- and today is the first time ever that the National Cathedral in the nation's capital will host Muslim prayers.

Most American's will have no idea that, as part of World War I, the then-Caliph of the Ottoman empire declared a Holy War against infidels, as was his right within sharia law and Islamic theology. You can read the full fatwa here (ignore the date of 1915 which is an original typo).

That statement by the last sitting head of what was the theocratic empire of Islam was the catalyst which led to religiously-fueled genocide against Christian Armenians and Assyrians.

The Episcopal church leaders who agreed to the host Muslim prayers inside the Washington cathedral probably have no idea what happened a century ago in Asia Minor, or that there even was a Caliph in office at the beginning of the 20th century.

However, we can rest assured that the co-organizers do, for they include the Council on Islamic-American Relations (CAIR), The Islamic Society of North America (ISNA), The Muslim Public Affairs Council (MPAC) and the All-Dulles Area Muslims Society (ADAMS) Center.

Both CAIR and ISNA will be fully aware of the significance of November 14th, seeing as both organizations were declared by a federal court to be unindicted co-conspirators of Hamas, the Muslim Brotherhood terror group, in the largest terrorist financing trial in US history

Those muslims who have a supremacist understanding of their religion, such as members of Al Qaeda and the Muslim Brotherhood - which was recently declared an illegal terrorist
organization in the country of its founding, Egypt - have a special regard for historic dates and anniversaries.

It is, of course, no accident that the 9/11 attacks, the worst terror attacks in world history, occurred exactly to the day in 1683 when the Islamic Ottoman forces were defeated outside the city walls of Vienna, the deepest the Islamic Caliphate's forces made it into the heart of the Christian West.

There is nothing inherently wrong about interfaith initiatives as long as they start from the same place: a mutual respect for the belief system of the other, and their inherent dignity as humans created by God. When one party acts in bad faith based upon its ideological commitment to see other faiths destroyed or subjected, then the event runs the risk of becoming a propaganda coup for the extremists and their followers.

The fact that this event is occurring just as ancient Christian communities are being destroyed in the Middle East and "non-believers" are being actually crucified by ISIS jihadists makes it all the more egregious.

We know that the Episcopal church is in trouble with more conservative believers leaving in great numbers and the remaining adherents not exactly outdoing their Catholic cousins in terms of reproducing the next generation of believers. But I doubt they also understand the finer points of jihadist doctrine, one of which is that if a place of worship is used by Muslims for their prayers, that territory subsequently becomes part of Dar al Islam, sacred muslim land. Forever.

Woman Stands Up Against Allah in DC

Tells why she made trip from Tennessee to counter Muslim prayer service

Christine Weick is approached be security at the National Cathedral in Washington Friday, Nov. 14,  as she stands up to proclaim "Jesus is our Lord and Savior"
Christine Weick is approached be security at the National Cathedral in Washington Friday, Nov. 14, as she stands up to proclaim “Jesus is our Lord and Savior”
It was supposed to be a shining moment for proponents of the interfaith movement.

The Islamic “jummah,” or Friday call to prayer, would be held on America’s grandest Christian stage – the National Cathedral in Washington, D.C.

It was a bold move that had never been tried. Leaders of the Episcopal cathedral said sending prayers up to Allah from a Christian church would show the world that two religions at odds with each other for centuries could “approach the same God” as one body of believers.

The stage was set. The prayer rugs were neatly arranged facing Mecca. The lights shone down on the imam for his opening remarks.

Not so fast.

Christine Weick, a 50-year-old Michigan woman with flowing blonde hair who lives out of her car, rose from the packed National Cathedral, the hall of halls in terms of religious prominence in America, and moved toward the front of the church.

She pointed to the cross hanging overhead.

That cross seemed to be the one thing nobody wanted to look at, she told WND Saturday in an exclusive interview.

The Muslims had set up their prayer rugs in such a way that their backs were turned on the cross, which they consider an alien religious symbol. Jesus was a prophet but was not the son of God and never died on a Roman cross, according to Muslim teaching. Yet, they found themselves staring at a woman who demanded the cross become the center of attention. She then blurted out the message she had traveled all the way from Tennessee to deliver.

“Jesus Christ died on that cross. It is the reason we are to worship only Him. Jesus Christ is our Lord and Savior,” she said. “We have built enough of your mosques in this country. Why don’t you worship in your mosques and leave our churches alone?”
She immediately heard voices in the crowd yelling for security.

“Black coat, white scarf, blonde hair!” yelled one. “We need to get her out of here now!” someone else cried out.

“They were yelling for security, and by that point I was already done saying what I came to say,” Weick told WND.

She was promptly escorted out of the sanctuary by two men in suits, who handed her off to a police officer.

Watch video of Christine Weick get removed from National Cathedral after standing up and proclaiming Jesus Christ during Muslim prayer service:

She had instantly become a folk hero of sorts for thousands, if not millions, of Christians who read what happened or watched the video that was posted on the Internet.

Now Weick wants everyone to know that she did not get arrested and she is safely back in her SUV, heading back to Tennessee.

“It was quite an overwhelming day yesterday,” she said.

And while she was lauded for her bravery, she confided she was “literally scared to death” as she waited for the right moment to stand up and proclaim the gospel message.

“They never said a word to me. Two guys came up and got me. I remember one large man in a suit taking me by the arm, very strongly but he did not hurt me,” she said.

“He just put an arm on me and said, ‘We are walking this way.’ Then comes the police officer, and I’m thinking, ‘OK I’m done.’ I’m still in the sanctuary at this point, so I put out my hands for the officer to arrest me, but he just held my hand and walked me to the back of the church.

“He handed me over to a woman officer, who takes me to the front doors of the church. She hands me to another officer, who takes me to another officer in the foyer, who takes me out to the road. Not one of them said a word. I was free to go.”

She said she told the last officer who led her to the road to have a good day, to which he gave no response. She returned to her vehicle and soon afterward drove home.

Except she doesn’t have a home. She said her husband divorced her last year “over a spiritual conflict,” and her family disowned her because she took a stand against same-sex marriage and other “moral issues.”

Weick said she learned of the Muslim prayer service two days before it was scheduled to happen through an article posted on the Drudge Report. The more she thought about it, she felt the Lord was telling her to go to Washington and say something.

“My blood began to boil as I read the comments of how this is to be such a wonderful event and how religious tolerance can, for the first time, be shown in our nation’s capital,” she said.

Still, she had nervous doubts about making the 400-mile trip from Kingsport, Tennessee.

“That article got my attention. And then I Googled the Washington National Cathedral, and I got more information about the service,” she said.

She found out from the cathedral’s website that the event was for “invited guests only.”

“That’s when I knew I had to be creative, and so did God,” she said.

She wasn’t sure what type of creativity would be required or even if she was doing the right thing as she headed out on the road to D.C. In fact, she almost turned around.

A sign of confirmation

“I was driving there on my way from Tennessee, and I’ve got a lot of doubts in my mind: Am I going to make a fool of myself? Am I going to be in jail for the weekend?”

But as she drove down the highway in the right lane, she passed a strange woman.

“There’s this woman stepping out of her vehicle on the side of the road, clapping and giving me two thumbs up, and I’m like, ‘That was the strangest thing,’” she said. “The first thing that went through my mind was, ‘That’s my confirmation right there.’ That’s all I needed, and from that point on I knew this was something I’m going to do; and that was the catapult that moved me to keep going towards Washington.”

She said she told only four people where she was going and what she planned to do. She asked for prayer.

“I said I need you to pray for me, this is what God has put in my bones to do,” she said. “It didn’t hit me until I got in the cathedral and saw all the people and the cameras sitting on my right, and I’m thinking, ‘This is a big deal. I am going to be put in jail!’”

She credits God for getting her into the massive church, which was guarded like Fort Knox. Everyone had to go through a checkpoint to make sure they weren’t armed or posed a threat.

“It was a God thing how I got past all that security in the beginning. They never ID’d me, and I had brought my ID with me just in case, and I thought that would be my downfall, being from Michigan, that they would say, ‘What is she doing here?” Weick said. “According to reports, this was a heavy security event. They checked every bag and every person that walked in there. I bet some security people are in big trouble today.”

She said she slipped through unnoticed, first by following a security guard and then later by engaging in conversation alongside a woman with press credentials.

“I just followed those security officers when they were going from place to place. I just followed them,” she said. “It was almost like they didn’t see me. Like I was invisible.”

Hiding in the bathroom

Weick got through the security line about 10:15 a.m., more than an hour and a half before the prayer service started. She needed to lie low to avoid detection.

She noticed a janitor’s closet was left open near the bathroom and briefly thought about hiding in it. But a fear of being locked in persuaded her against that option.

She slipped into the bathroom instead.

“When I was in the bathroom hiding out, that’s when it hit me: I think I’m invisible, I really wondered, the way it happened, just strange, just totally strange; and someday I’m going to ask God how that all worked out,” she said.

While hiding in the bathroom and waiting for the service to start, she rehearsed over and over what she would say. She prayed constantly, with emphasis on Psalm 27.

A woman was washing her hands at the sink as Weick left the stall where she was hiding. The woman had a press tag on her blouse.

“I asked her if she knew what time the service was to start and she replied, ‘In a few minutes. Do you know where to go?’ I didn’t.”

“Follow me and I will take you to the front,” the woman said.

“I walked with her into the main foyer up to the security line. We walked right past the guards and into the sanctuary! I was invisible.”

Still, the butterflies fluttered in her stomach.

“As she took her seat she was shocked at what she saw. About a hundred people were sitting in chairs around rugs that were placed on the floor. Muslim women, separated from the men, were seated on the rugs. To her right was the news media with their cameras and recording equipment. In front of her were the prayer rugs.

“Then it hit me… I had such an angst come over me. Seeing these Muslims sitting on their rugs ready to bow to a god, causing such an abomination in the house of the Lord,” she said.

The imam said the call to prayer would begin momentarily and spoke some words in Arabic.

Weick felt her heart thumping in her chest.

“I prayed… ‘Lord! Tell me when!’ At that moment I saw a figure of Christ on the cross some distance away. I stood up.

“I was so nervous; you’ll never know how scared I was,” she said. “All I kept thinking was, ‘I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me; that’s my only strength.’ I could not do it through me. But we have an amazing God. He shows his strength in my weakness. That’s my motto.”

She started to speak, firmly and loudly but not out of control. What she said was not the same as what she had rehearsed in the bathroom stall.

“I did not plan on those exact words coming out. I was going to say it differently. I was planning to say, ‘I serve a risen Savior, and Muhammad is dead.’ But I saw the cross and it just popped out of my mouth. I was not going to say it that way. I rehearsed it the other way over and over in the bathroom, because my biggest fear was making a fool of myself; but it didn’t happen that way.”

Even if she had failed and made herself a fool, it could not be more painful than what she has already gone through over the past year, she said.

“I took a very strong stand on something last year. My husband divorced me over it. It broke my heart. I have a lot of heartache back home, a lot of hurt,” she said. “And I felt the Lord telling me, ‘You are going to go from place to place for me.’”

While she lives out of her car, she doesn’t consider herself homeless.

“Don’t be sorry for me. I have a very nice SUV. I go out to eat, I have a bank account,” she told WND. “I am just too Dutch to pay 60 or 70 bucks for a hotel every night when I can spend my nights in my car. And I travel every night from place to place, and that is what I was doing when I saw the story in the Drudge Report.”

Not a hero

WND’s first story on the prayer service drew hundreds of comments from readers. Many lauded the lone, unidentified woman who stood up and rebuked what they saw as a worship service to a false god inside a prominent American church.

Among the comments:

“They shielded their eyes from the Christian cross, but could not shield their ears from the truthful words of this one brave woman.”
“We should all pray to have the courage this woman displayed. The world needs it. Our nation desperately needs it. Jesus Christ IS Lord.”
“I would speculate that the brave woman who proclaimed the Gospel was the only Christian present– and they threw her out,” commented a reader who quoted from John 16:2: “They will put you out of the synagogues. Indeed, the hour is coming when whoever kills you will think he is offering service to God.”
“Bless this woman! Jesus Christ is the Messiah and Salvation for all that believe. Acts 4:12 automatically comes to mind. Islam and Christianity are opposed to each other, no matter what any Pope, Priest and Cardinal says. You cannot deny the Son and have the Father and Islam denies Jesus is the Son.”
But Weick said she did nothing outside of what God gave her the strength to do, and she doesn’t see herself as any hero of the faith. The weakest of Christians could easily do the same thing, she said.

“That’s why I posted on Facebook this morning. I was like, ‘Come on Christian soldiers we need to fight, and we need to fight using the gospel, the Word of God,’” she said. “There are Muslims everywhere, just walk up to them and say, ‘Jesus Christ is Lord.’ Be brave.

“I’m hearing that many Muslims are getting dreams. Maybe all it takes is one to have a dream after being told Jesus Christ is Lord, I don’t know. That is God’s deal. Let Him work it out. We just need to be bold in the Lord and we don’t need to be burning their mosques down, like they burn our churches. We have the gospel and that is our only weapon we need. Jesus is Lord, and we need to proclaim it, but how many times do we do it?”

But before Weick became bold, she was humbled.

“It was a situation in my life, how God yanked every anchor in my life over the last five years, just everything that would keep a normal woman, a normal mother, at home just got yanked out from under me,” she said. “I have a son and a daughter, and they disowned me. I took a stand against gay marriage and I lost them. That is my heartache. And it hurts me so much. And I wonder what they think now when they see me on the news.”

Weick said she doesn’t know what her next “assignment” will be, but she knows now she can tackle almost anything.

“I told the Lord last night, ‘OK, you can take me now,’ but I don’t know,” she said. “I think He may have other plans for me...

Italian Evangelical Churches say "NO" To The Vatican's Ecumenical Pressure

Italian Evangelical churches sign common statement

Defining it “historical” may be an overstatement. However, what happened on 19th July is a landmark in the 150 years of Italian Evangelicalism. For the first time ever, nearly 100% of Italian Evangelical churches and bodies (85% of Italian Protestants) signed a common statement reinforcing the Evangelical commitment to the Gospel of Jesus Christ also by providing biblical standards to assess the mounting ecumenical pressure coming from the Roman Catholic Church to expand its catholicity at the expense of biblical truth. It never happened before that such a large consensus was achieved and that Italian Evangelicals spoke with a single voice on such a crucial topic. The Italian Evangelical Alliance is glad to have facilitated the process that led to this historic event and looks forward to seeing this renewed sense of Evangelical unity being further nurtured. The churches and bodies that endorsed this statement represent the near totality of Evangelicals  who have a conservative Protestant theology and a strong evangelistic commitment.

Following a round table promoted by the Italian Evangelical Alliance, the Federation of Pentecostal Churches, the Assemblies of God in Italy, the Apostolic Church and the Pentecostal Congregations held in Aversa on 19th July 2014 at the Pentecostal College of Religious Sciences on the topic of “Roman Catholicism in Evangelical perspective”, the above mentioned churches and bodies, being alerted by the recent ecumenical openings by national and international Evangelical and Pentecostal circles with regards to the Roman Catholic Church and its present-day Pontiff, without passing judgment on the faith of individual people, believe nonetheless that it is incompatible with the teaching of Scripture to have a church that operates as mediator of salvation and that presents other figures as mediators of grace since God’s grace comes to us by faith alone in Jesus Christ alone (Ephesians 2:8) and without the agency of other mediators (1 Timothy 2:5).

They also believe that it is incompatible with Biblical teaching to have a church that took the liberty to add dogmas (such as the Marian dogmas) to the faith once and for all delivered to the saints (Jude 3; Revelation 22:18).

They also believe that it is incompatible with the teaching of Scripture to have a church whose heart is a political state that is a legacy of an “imperial” church from which it has inherited titles and prerogatives. Christian churches must refrain from imitating “the princes of this world” and follow the example of Jesus who came to serve and not to be served (Mark 10:42-45).

Furthermore they also believe that what appear to be similarities with the Evangelical faith and spirituality of sectors of Roman Catholicism are not in themselves reasons for hope in a true change.
All the standing theological and ethical differences considered, they cannot initiate nor advocate for ecumenical initiatives with regards to the Roman Catholic Church.

They invite all Evangelicals at the national and international levels to exercise a healthy biblical discernment (1 John 4:1) without falling into unionist initiatives that are contrary to Scripture and instead renew their commitment to take the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the whole world (Matthew 28:18-20).

Allah, Muslim Brotherhood & The National Cathedral

Say What?!  The ‘Muslim Brotherhood’ Will Soon Worship Allah In DC’s National Cathedral

The 100-year old Washington National Cathedral — celebrated as our “National House of Prayer” by Congress — is opening its doors, pews and pulpit to “radical Muslims” who will essentially turn the cherished Episcopal Church into a mosque.
On Friday, for the first time ever, this prominent and powerful symbol of America’s Judeo-Christian heritage will host a Muslim prayer service.

According to
Planners say they hope Friday’s service at the historic cathedral will foster more understanding and acceptance between Christians and Muslims around the world.
The National Cathedral is where America holds very special religious services — funerals for our presidents, like Ronald Reagan, and for our heroes, like Neil Armstrong.
Now, as a piece on notes, this great church is welcoming into its sanctuary questionable organizers of this first-of-its-kind Muslim prayer event:
Who are these “organizers”? Members of known Muslim Brotherhood front groups, including the Council on American-Islamic Relations and the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA).
The Justice Department has identified both as belonging to the Hamas wing of the radical Brotherhood. It’s also implicated them in a Hamas conspiracy to raise millions for Palestinian suicide bombers.
These co-sponsors of the National Cathedral jumuah (“for invited guests only”) remain unindicted co-conspirators in a major terror case.
An article in the Washington Post informs us that event organizers say they are seeking to make a statement by having Muslim leaders hold their midday service in such a visible and venerable Christian house of worship.
About 100 invited guests will reportedly attend the closed service, which will be spoken and chanted. The Post story says that Muslim leaders will bring prayer carpets.
“We want the world to see the Christian community is partnering with us and is supporting our religious freedom in the same way we are calling for religious freedom for all minorities in Muslim countries,” said Rizwan Jaka, a spokesman with the prominent ADAMS mosque in Sterling, Va., one of the co-sponsors of Friday’s service.
“Let this be a lesson to the world.”
But some are wondering what kind of “lesson” this will actually teach.
As the editorial in Investor’s Business Daily observes, it could well be that Muslim leaders want the lesson to be that Islam’s infiltration into the highest levels of traditional American life knows no bounds…that event organizers are happy to have their groundbreaking prayer service at the Washington National Cathedral for deeply symbolic reasons:
There are few more powerful symbols of our Judeo-Christian culture than the cathedral — and that’s exactly why the Islamists targeted it
