Minor earthquake reported near New Bedford, Mass.

A minor earthquake struck southeastern Massachusetts on Tuesday, but there were no immediate reports of damage.
The U.S. Geological Survey said the earthquake that struck two miles south-southwest of New Bedford at 5:46 p.m. was a magnitude of 2.4.
The epicenter of the quake was traced to Schooner Drive in Dartmouth, but was felt for miles.
According to the USGS, earthquakes in the region are "not unusual."
A small 1.9 magnitude earthquake was reported in New Bedford on Jan. 9.
