In 1798, Thomas Malthus famously and grimly predicted that population growth would be perennially held in “check” by inherent limits to food production. While the following 200 years have certainly witnessed their fair share of famines and food crises, the supply of food generally kept pace with demand, and life went on. Over the last decade, however, the demand for food has risen faster than supply, causing food prices to climb faster than the rate of inflation. The WorldBank noted that since the year 2000, food prices have risen 75%, a figure which conceals even more dramatic increases, such as a 200% increase in the price of wheat and a 250% increase in the price of rice.Read more on the 10 Surprising Implications of the Global Rise in Food Prices At Currency Trader.Net
The world is officially in the throes of a food crisis...
Editor's note: Population control?...In June 1979, an unknown party under the pseudonym "R.C. Christian" financed the structure known as the Georgia Guidestones ...
A message consisting of a set of ten guidelines or principles is engraved on the Georgia Guidestones in eight different languages, one language on each face of the four large upright stones. Moving clockwise around the structure from due north, these languages are: English, Spanish, Swahili, Hindi, Hebrew, Arabic, Ancient Chinese, and Russian. The message in English reads:
Maintain humanity under 500,000,000 in perpetual balance with nature*
Guide reproduction wisely - improving fitness and diversity.
Unite humanity with a living new language.
Rule passion - faith - tradition - and all things with tempered reason.
Protect people and nations with fair laws and just courts.
Let all nations rule internally resolving external disputes in a one world court
Avoid petty laws and useless officials.
Balance personal rights with social duties.
Prize truth - beauty - love - seeking harmony with the infinite.
Be not a cancer on the earth - Leave room for nature - Leave room for nature.
*In order to achieve a population of 500,000,000, 90% of all people would have to die. The world is currently over a population of 6.6 billion.
