Rick Warren, Pope Benedict Named as Profound Spokespersons For All The World Religions
Dr. Robert D. Crane, Chairman of The Center for Understanding Islam names Rick Warren and Pope Benedict IV as "two of contemporary Christianity’s leading lights echo all the teachings of Islam that have constituted the essence of all the world religions..."
Dr. Crane states "...[T]he glue that holds Muslims together as a community or umma and brings persons of diverse religions together... is their common purpose in life .
Dr. Crane highlights Rick Warren's leading of the inaugural prayer and Warren's address of the 2009 conventions in both ISNA (Islamic Society of North America) and the Muslim Public Affairs Council (MPAC).
Crane then introduces "[A]nother profound spokesperson for all the world religions...Pope Benedict XVI"
Chief Rabbi Rebbe Abraham Izaac Kook was also cited by Dr. Crane as the example of "truth as the source of love, and love as the source of justice.
...The Rebbe always sharply defended the validity of both Christianity and Islam as religions in the plan of God, and proclaimed that, “the brotherly love of Esau and Jacob [Christians and Jews], and Isaac and Ishmael [Jews and Muslims], will assert itself above all the confusion [and turn] the darkness to light.”
