Chicago - It's deja vu all over again for the deep south. One of the most significant tornado outbreaks in years took place place across Mississippi, Alabama, and southern Tennessee on Wednesday.
So far on Wednesday, 74 tornadoes have been reported across 6 states. So far 4 people have been killed in Mississippi and others are missing.
It's been a record breaking April in terms of severe weather. So far this month, 728 tornadoes have been reported with nearly half of those confirmed. This breaks the old record of 265 confirmed tornadoes set back in 1974.
In addition, the total number of severe weather reports for the month are now over 6,800 which include tornadoes, hail, and wind damage.
Editor's note: As of 7:55 PM (EST) 90 TV News sources report 90 tornadoes strikes for April 27 in the US.
