The Christians' 9-11

Revelation 6: 9-11

9When he opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of those who had been slain for the word of God and for the witness they had borne. 10They cried out with a loud voice, "O Sovereign Lord, holy and true, how long before you will judge and avenge our blood on those who dwell on the earth?" 11Then they were each given a white robe and told to rest a little longer, until the number of their fellow servants and their brothers should be complete, who were to be killed as they themselves had been.

  1. Question: "What are tribulation saints?"

Answer: During the tribulation, Satan—the great counterfeiter—will introduce his own man—a man of lawlessness and a man of perdition (Daniel 11:36-39) who will seemingly lead the world into time of peace and prosperity. This man is Antichrist. He will accomplish, at least for a season, what no other ruler has managed to accomplish—global unity. He will come to power at the beginning of the tribulation (2 Thessalonians 2:3-4) and establish himself as a true world ruler. During the first half of Antichrist’s seven-year reign, the inhabitants of Earth will live in relative harmony. And literally billions of misguided people will worship him as their god and savior. Not only will Antichrist accept this worship, he will demand the people’s worship! He will exact the allegiance of all (Revelation 13:16). Those who refuse to worship Antichrist face death.

In this dark hour, however, many will come to know Christ Jesus as Savior. These are the tribulation saints who will face the wrath of Antichrist (Revelation 13:7), yet their eternal salvation is secure (Revelation 14:12-13). No one, not even Antichrist, will be able to wrench these saints from God’s loving hands.

The tribulation saints will not be silent during these dark years. These Christians will continue serving their Lord Jesus Christ in the midst of their desperate surroundings. Faithful to the end, some of these Christians will die for their beliefs, but God shall reward them in this manner: “Therefore they are before the throne of God, and serve Him day and night in His temple. And He who sits on the throne will dwell among them. They shall neither hunger anymore nor thirst anymore; the sun shall not strike them, nor any heat; for the Lamb who is in the midst of the throne will shepherd them and lead them to living fountains of waters. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes” (Revelation 7:15-17 NKJV).

More importantly, the saints living in this time of great distress will not be forgotten by our merciful God as He pours His wrath upon a wicked earth. While unregenerate men and women face the white-hot judgment of God’s righteous fury, His saints shall “have the seal of God on their foreheads” and be spared the terrible wrath that follows (Revelation 9:4).

Two such tribulation saints will serve from Jerusalem as God’s mighty witnesses, “and they will prophesy one thousand two hundred and sixty days, clothed in sackcloth. These have the power to shut heaven, so that no rain falls in the days of their prophecy; and they have power over waters to turn them to blood, and to strike the earth with all plagues, as often as they desire (Revelation 11:3,6 NKJV).” What a ministry—they will boldly preach God’s truths while performing awesome miracles, and those unregenerate fools who try silencing them will be devoured by fire! So hated and despised will the preachers be, the whole world will celebrate the eventual deaths of these witnesses with gifts and merriment—but God will raise His slain witnesses back to life and carry them off to Heaven, and the entire world will see this spectacular event (Revelation 11:9).

The day of great trouble is rapidly approaching, so now is the time to ask, “Where will you be when Antichrist makes his appearance?” Will you be safe and secure in the loving hands of the Savior, or will you be fodder for Antichrist? Will King Jesus be your rescuer, or will you be one of the billions to perish when God’s divinely appointed wrath is poured out upon the rebellious masses? Prophecy is tomorrow’s headlines, so let no one say he or she has not been warned. The Lord Jesus is knocking at the door of your heart. Confess Him as your Lord and Savior. Come to Jesus and live.

  2. I am so glad that Jesus Christ will rapture His Church before the great and awesome time of Jacobs Troubles = The Tribulation. I thank God for His mercy toward us...

  3. I believe in the prophetic 70 weeks of Daniel and the rapture...but when does it take place?

In Revelation three types of end of age believers.

Rev 6: 5th seal believers ( souls under the heavenly altar of incense ) crying out to God to avenge their deaths ( martyred ). Their receive their white robes ( glorified bodies ) and told to rest a little while more. IMO, the church age believers.

At the end of the Rev 6, catyclismic earth upheaval points to the Day of the Lord. Even the wicked understand the sign of His coming.

Rev 7: "After this" John sees the sealing of 144,000 of the tribes of Israel. 144,000 who also recognize the sign of His coming at the end of Chap 6, who repent and confess that Jesus truly is their Messiah. These are the 6th seal believers.

It seems that the rest of the believers that the 5th seal believers cried out for previously, were collectively caught up into the throne room of God, join with the other 5th seal believers who were resting under the heavenly throne in their white robes. Not by rapture, But by mass murder.

    God said:

"Then they were each given a white robe and told to rest a little longer, until the number of their fellow servants and their brothers should be complete, who were to be killed as they themselves had been."

A mass holocaust of 5th seal believers on earth completes the number of believers to receive white robes in the heavenly throne room of God.

Rev 12:17 Then the dragon became furious with the woman and went off to make war on the rest of her offspring,on those who keep the commandments of God and hold to the testimony of Jesus. And he stood on the sand of the sea.

Rev 13:7 Also it was allowed to make war on the saints and to conquer them

Chap 7 describes the reunited group of "killed" believers as the new priests of the Temple of God:

"Therefore they are before the throne of God,
and serve him day and night in his temple"

This occurs after the sealing of the 144,000 of the tribes of Israel.

Angels withheld the destruction of the earth until all were sealed:

"Do not harm the earth or the sea or the trees, until we have sealed the servants of our God on their foreheads."

It seems that 144,000 Jews come to Christ after witnessing the great sign of His coming in Chapter 6. The time of Jacob's trouble begins. This group I call the 6th seal believers.

Revelation 8 - The seventh seal.
Includes the 7 trumpets, the 7 thunders, the 7 plagues.

During the 7th seal, still more sinners repent and believe, no doubt because of the witness of the 144,000 6th seal believers. I call this growing group the 7th seal believers.

  4. PART II

Rev 9 (the 1st of 3 woes) The 5th trumpet opens the abyss. Those 6th and 7th sealed believers are divinely protected. Those who are not sealed, are not protected. The 6th trumpet looses the 4 mighty angels chained at the Euphrates...hell unleashed on earth.

"They were told not to harm the grass of the earth or any green plant or any tree, but only those people who do not have the seal of God on their foreheads.

Revelation 11: (the 2nd woe) Still within the 7th seal, we have the 2 witnesses and the beast that rises out of the abyss in chapter 9.

The 7th trumpet of the 7th seal sounds, and the heavenly temple is opened and the ark of the covenant revealed.

""The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of his Christ, and he shall reign forever and ever."

Revelation 14: Rapture? After the 7th trumpet
    (Yom Terauh?)

1Then I looked, and behold, on Mount Zion stood the Lamb, and with him 144,000 who had his name and his Father’s name written on their foreheads.
No mention of killing, or death. Just appearance as the heavenly temple is opened.

Three angels delivery 3 messages to those still on the earth...worship or take the mark of the beast and you will suffer God's wrath.

Yet another harvest of believers occurs at the 7th trumpet...3rd message

"12 Here is a call for the endurance of the saints, those who keep the commandments of God and their faith in Jesus.

13And I heard a voice from heaven saying "Write this: Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on." "Blessed indeed," says the Spirit,"that they may rest from their labors, for their deeds follow them!"

Blessed are the dead, those who die...no rapture for this group.

I called this group of believers the 7th trumpet believers.

Rev 15- the 7 plagues of the 7th seal
The wrath of God is finished.

The 7th trumpet believers are found as the Temple Choir:

2And I saw what appeared to be a sea of glass mingled with fire—and also those who had conquered the beast and its image and the number of its name, standing beside the sea of glass with harps of God in their hands. 3And they sing the song of Moses, the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb

Rev 19: The King Returns with His Army

14And the armies of heaven, arrayed in fine linen, white and pure, were following him on white horses. 15 From his mouth comes a sharp sword with which to strike down the nations, and he will rule them with a rod of iron. He will tread the winepress of the fury of the wrath of God the Almighty. 16 On his robe and on his thigh he has a name written, King of kings and Lord of lords.

    Rev 20 The First Resurrection

There are some 7th seal believers who are raised from the dead (as a sign to those who survived Armegeddon?)as judges for the Millenium reign of Christ:

4Then I saw thrones, and seated on them were those to whom the authority to judge was committed. Also I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for the testimony of Jesus and for the word of God, and those who had not worshiped the beast or its image and had not received its mark on their foreheads or their hands. They came to life and reigned with Christ for a thousand years

7th seal believers experience bodily death, but protected from the torturious acts of Satan's minions.

How can the 5th seal believers be Church age believers when Rev 1:5 tells us that it is US who are washed, not OUR ROBES by His blood? The Church age believer washing takes place before he gets a white robe (see Rev 3:18 & 16:5).

The believers of the 5th seal must therefore, be those who become believers after the rapture. (Rev 7:14f) Note that these tribulations believers serve him day and night in his temple. But Church age believers are the temple of God. (Eph 2:21, 2 Cor 6:16)

I believe in the prophetic 70 weeks of Daniel and the rapture...but when does it take place?

For another perspective on when the Rapture takes place look at Rev 4 esp v1 when "a door was opened" and 5:9 "And they sung a new song, saying, Thou are worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed US to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation; and hast made us unto our God kings and priests and we shall reign on the earth. "
The us here can only be human beings who have stood before the judgment seat, been given white robes and now reign with Christ.
Unfortunately, unless you have a KJ Bible you will miss this because the word us is omitted in most other translations.
