Update, 7:08 a.m. Wednesday: The numbers continue to change. Now we're up to nine earthquakes in North Texas in less than 24 hours. Another earthquake struck at 12:59 a.m. Wednesday. And the U.S. Geological Survey reported a ninth earthquake that had been previously unreported -- that one was recorded around 7:30 a.m. Tuesday.
Update, 11:43 p.m. Tuesday: It was the day when it seemed the earthquakes would never end. By 11:40 p.m. Tuesday, the U.S. Geological Survey had recorded seven earthquakes in North Texas, including six in Irving. The first hit shortly after 3 p.m. -- a 3.5-magnitude quake.
The second hit around 6:50 p.m. -- 3.6 in magnitude.
They kept coming ... and coming ... and coming. But as the evening progressed, they tended to get smaller ... and smaller.
