Franklin Graham slams Virginia governor for threatening to veto 20-week abortion ban
Franklin Graham slams Virginia governor for threatening to veto 20-week abortion ban
Famed evangelist Franklin Graham criticized Virginia Gov. Terry McAuliffe for threatening to veto a bill banning abortions after 20 weeks of pregnancy.
Last week, McAuliffe warned the Republican-controlled General Assembly not to "waste time" in trying to pass the measure, adding that signing it into law might affect businesses in the state.
"I can't sit back and have that sitting out the same time I am traveling the globe recruiting businesses to Virginia," he said.
"If there's something that would be damaging toward business, and to our image around the country and the globe, I'll veto it, you bet I will," he continued.
Graham took to Facebook on Friday and criticized the governor for prioritizing business over the lives of the unborn.
Christian Clergy Welcomes Islam in Church, Then Bows to It
Christian Clergy Welcomes Islam in Church, Then Bows to It
- Last July, for the first time during a Mass in Italy, a verse of the Koran was recited from the altar.
- A priest in the south of Italy enraged parishioners by dressing the Virgin Mary in a Muslim burqa for his church's Christmas Nativity scene. These interfaith initiatives are based on the gradual elimination of the Western-Christian heritage in favor of Islam.
- The Catholic clergy is probably disoriented by Pope Francis himself; he was the first to allow the reading of Islamic prayers and Koran readings from the Vatican.
- The Pope embraced religious relativism when it comes with Islam. He repeated that Islamist violence is the work of "a small group of fundamentalists" who, according to him, have nothing to do with Islam.
- Church of England Bishop Harries suggested that Prince Charles's coronation service should be opened with a Koran reading. In the US, more than 50 churches, including the Washington National Cathedral, hold Koran readings. Is there any reading of the Christian liturgy in mosques?
- How is it that so few Christian leaders have raised their voices against this unprecedented attack on a Christian monument? Have they organized so many Koran readings in their own churches so that they now view it as normal to convert a church into a mosque?
- Would it not be better for the Catholic Church to establish a real dialogue with the Islamic communities based on principles such as reciprocity (if you build mosques in Europe, we build churches in the Middle East), protection of Christian minorities in the Crescent and theological repudiation of jihad against "infidels"?
French Ambassadors Declare War on Israel
French Ambassadors Declare War on Israel
- For our ambassadors, terrorism does not exist in "Palestine". They just whisper Quixotically about "the need for security" for Israel.
- The obvious conclusion is that they are just trying to hide their own detestation of Israel behind the Arab one.
- The problem is not Jewish "settlers" in "Palestine". Before 1967, there were no settlements, then what was the Palestine Liberation Organization "liberating" when it was created in Cairo in 1964? The answer, as the PLO was the first to admit, was "Palestine" -- meaning the entire state of Israel, regarded by many Arabs as just one big settlement. Just look any Palestinian map.
- The problem is that these ambassadors are not as dangerous to Israel as they are to Europe and the free world, as they keep on succumbing to the demands of Islam.
These men are retired French ambassadors. They are apparently well educated, very polite and aristocratic people and they regularly publish op-eds in Le Monde. However, they publish in Le Monde only to threaten Israel.
Their most recent op-ed in Le Monde on January 9, 2017, was to explain how an international conference on the Middle East, the one which scheduled for January 15 in Paris, would be beneficial for the "security" of Israel. Their text is a discouraging enumeration of traditional clichés of France's hypocritical diplomacy.
Example: "For the Palestinians, nothing is worse than the absence of a state". In which way is it the worst? As Bret Stephens wrote this week in the Wall Street Journal:
