Music & Mysticism Merge in Anglican - Vatican Unity

Catholic Culture.org reports on the maturing ecumenism between the Vatican and the Anglican church:

In an interview with The Portal-- a new publication devoted to the ordinariate of Anglican communities received into the Catholic Church-- an official of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith emphasized that the goal of ecumenical dialogue is the restoration of full communion between non-Catholic Christians and the Pope.

... Noting that “we must cooperate and grow together,” the priest said that the Church will be enriched by the Anglican patrimony of music.

Additionally, the First Catholic canon to be installed at Winchester Cathedral in 500 years was reported.

"Until recently Honorary Canons ( priests ) were drawn only from the Anglican Diocese of Winchester. The Abbot is the first of its Ecumenical Canons. Other Ecumenical Canons will be installed in the coming months.

...Fleury may be regarded as the cradle of monastic life that flourished in Winchester until St Swithun's Priory (as it was then called) was dissolved during the Reformation under Henry VIII in 1536."

Music and mysticism energizes this ecumenical reunion. Ironically, a similar phenomena is occurring within Western Evangelicalism.

Uniting in biblical truth is rendered divisive, and replaced with the traditions of men.
