Virginia Baptist Mission Board Promotes Neo-Gnosticism

As the Virginia Baptist Mission Board and the Baptist General Association of Virginia (BGAV) warm up to holding hands with Tony Campolo...

Pastor-teacher Ken Silva of Apprising Ministries exposes the adulterous relationship between contemplative spirituality, Roman Catholicism and "Evangelicals"...

In the Apprising Ministries piece Tony Campolo to Enlighten Southern Baptists in Virginia we pointed out that Emergent Evangelical Prophet Tony Campolo is going to be featured speaker at the upcoming Baptist General Association of Virginia (BGAV) “185th Annual Meeting of the BGAV” on November 11-12. (Online source)

There Campolo will be bringing his brand of neo-Gnostic wisdom which he supposedly gleaned from his practice of corrupt
Contemplative Spirituality/Mysticism (CSM) along with the reimagined social gospel of the Emerging Church to enlighten Southern Baptists in Virginia.

But the problem with this spurious CSM being spread as a “Protestantized” version of so-called Spiritual Formation is that it originated in the antibiblical lifestyle of hermits and hermettes in the desert of Egypt (hello!) and then flowered in the monastic traditions of apostate Roman Catholicism.
