Apprising Ministries presents Richard Bennett of Berean Beacon. Bennett, who was himself a Roman Catholic priest in Trinidad for 22 years, describes how contemplative mysticism originally flowered in the antibiblical monastic traditions of apostate Roman Catholicism and is being adopted by "Evangelicals". Bennet explains how the YOUTH are the target of the promoters of mysticism such as Tony Jones.
"He [Tony Jones] rehashes the Catholic mystics of old, and he teaches the [ancient apostate] ways to deceive men, women and youth and lead them into wickedness...this does not transform them, it deforms them into thinking they are Christians... Young people who get deceived by this deadly poison, sugar-coated, calling itself Christian, end up in immorality as they try to practice these evil ways...
Ancient ways such as Lectio Divina, centering prayer, The Jesus prayer (mantra), centering prayer, the Ignatius Examine, the Stations of the Cross, and the labyrinth...lethal wickedness leading to the lust of the mind where you think you have made direct contact with God"
