Unity in Deeds is NOT Unity Indeed

"What is the mission of the church? Well if you believe Rick Warren, then it is something far different than making disciples of all nations... Rick Warren truly believes that the mission of the church is something other than its message. That is what is causing the controversy regarding his invitation to Barack Obama to speak at Saddleback Church. Warren believes that if he puts people together who normally don’t talk to each other (because of their creedal differences) and UNITE them in a good deed, like solving the AIDS crisis then the church will again be united and fulfilling its mission. What could be wrong with that? Fighting the blight of AIDS is a good and noble thing isn’t it? Shouldn't we be working with everyone to solve this problem?"
