The Titanic and Today's Church: A Tale of Two Shipwrecks

The Titanic and Today's Church: A Tale of Two Shipwrecks

The Titanic and Today’s Church is the story of two shipwrecks. One took place over a century ago; the other is in progress and is happening today. The similarities are astounding as they compel us to become more aware of our Spiritual Adversary’s schemes and devices (2 Corinthians 2:11), effectively “stand against” them (Ephesians 6:11), and “come out from among them” (2 Corinthians 6:17).

Catholic Church won’t bless same-sex unions

Pope Francis says priests cannot bless same sex unions

The Vatican decreed Monday that the Catholic Church won’t bless same-sex unions since God “cannot bless sin.”

The Vatican’s orthodoxy office, the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, issued a formal response Monday to a question about whether Catholic clergy have the authority to bless gay unions. The answer, contained in a two-page explanation published in seven languages and approved by Pope Francis, was “negative.”

The note distinguished between the church’s welcoming and blessing of gay people, which it upheld, but not their unions. It argued that such unions are not part of God’s plan and that any such sacramental recognition could be confused with marriage.

The note immediately disheartened advocates for LGBT Catholics and threw a wrench in the debate within the German church, which has been at the forefront of opening discussion on hot-button issues such the church’s teaching on homosexuality.

Pope Returns to the Land of Mystery Religions

Jimmy DeYoung On Petrus Romanus Visiting Ur Of The Chaldees To Begin Unification Of All Faiths Into One World Religion

JD: Pope Francis is on the road again. He’s going into a portion of modern day Iraq to a place called Ur of the Chaldees. The birth place of Abraham the patriarch. It’s quite an interesting archeological site.

MG: Yes it is and in fact its often considered an ancient site of child sacrifices. The focus of his trip is to bring harmony between religious groups and… an inter religious prayer meeting in the land of Shinar where the sons of men built a Tower of Babel into the heavens. That seems like an appropriate site to have religious unity, don’t you think?

JD: Oh absolutely, that would be the city of Babylon. It’s not too far from Ur the Chaldees all in the nation of Iraq. You know it seems to me the Pope’s taking this show on the road however Mike I’ve got to say it still smells much like Revelation 17.

MG: Well we know from Revelation 13 & 17 that there will be two men that will unite the world. There will be a false Messiah, a false prophet and he will unite the world in a global religion that will worship the other figure which is referred to as the antichrist or the man of lawlessness… (READ MORE)

Pope goes back to Babylon

Exclusive: Joseph Farah highlights the great civilizational story Francis neglected to mention

Abraham was called by God out of Babylon and idol worship from the region of a 4,000-year-old Sumerian temple and the palaces known as the Great Ziggurat of Ur of the Chaldees.

"Now the Lord had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father's house, unto a land that I will shew thee: And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing: And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed,"

God said in Genesis 12:1-3. It was one of the seminal moments for all people who worship the One True God.

It led directly to the Hebrew family and eventually a nation and the Messiah Yeshua, Jesus.

Pope Francis went back to Babylon last weekend. Oddly, he didn't say any of that. Much more could be said about Abraham, Sarah, Isaac and Jacob, Judah and the line that led to Jesus to made the all-important connection, yet, for some reason, he didn't even start the story.

Twin M7-class quakes hit off New Zealand

Two powerful earthquakes with magnitudes over 7.0 hit off New Zealand on Friday morning local time, triggering a small tsunami on the island country, the U.S. Geological Survey and local authorities said.

There were no immediate reports of injuries or serious damage as a result of the temblors. Following the first quake, which struck with a magnitude of 7.3 at 2:27 a.m., a tsunami of 28 centimeters was observed at the North Island, the Hawaii-based Pacific Tsunami Warning Center said.

The USGS upgraded the magnitude of the temblor, which occurred 178 kilometers northeast of the North Island at a depth of 10km, to 7.3 from an initial estimate of 6.9.

At 6:41 a.m., the second quake hit with a magnitude of 7.4 off the Kermadec Islands of New Zealand at a depth of 56 km.

The Japan Meteorological Agency said the two quakes will not cause a tsunami affecting the country.

COVID House Bill Rescues Abortion?

Pro-lifers decry abortion funding in COVID relief bill

"..The new bill approved by the House, however, does not include Hyde Amendment-type safeguards, which means an estimated $414 billion or more in federal funds could be applied to elective abortions or health insurance that covers elective abortions, according to the National Right to Life Committee (NRLC). The House Rules Committee denied a vote on a Republican amendment that would have included a ban on abortion funding in the proposal.

“All Americans want to see this pandemic and resulting economic hardship come to an end,” said Chelsea Sobolik, a policy director for the Southern Baptist Ethics & Religious Liberty Commission. “The debate over this latest COVID relief and stimulus legislation should reflect that unifying priority, not the corrosive aims of the abortion lobby’s agenda."

House Passes ‘LGBTQ’ Equality Act

House Passes ‘LGBTQ’ Equality Act Despite Serious Concerns Over Its Constitutionality Relating to Religious Liberty

"...“The LGBT community has waited long enough,” said Rep. David Cicilline, D-R.I., who is a homosexual and the lead sponsor of the bill. “The time has come to extend the blessings of liberty and equality to all of Americans regardless of who they are and who they love,” Cicilline asserted.

The purpose of the Equality Act as set forth by Cicilline and its sponsors is to expand the legal protections afforded under existing civil rights law in employment, housing, education, public accommodations, as well as in other areas, to include sexual orientation and gender identity as protected classes and making it illegal to discriminate against the added classes regardless of religious or conscience objections.
