REMEMBERING OUR FALLEN SOLDIERS

REMEMBERING OUR FALLEN SOLDIERS

On this Memorial Day we want to say how thankful we are to those who serve in the armed forces and their families.  It is a time to honor and recognize the sacrifice of our fallen soldiers. To the men and women still serving, it is because of you that we sleep soundly at night.  Be safe and God bless you!
“The willingness with which our young people are likely to serve in any war, no matter how justified, shall be directly proportional to how they perceive the veterans of earlier wars were treated and appreciated by their nation.” ~ George Washington

Pope Dismantling Doctrine for Deviance

Pope’s ambiguity a ‘true blessing’ because it draws false Church out of shadows

“...A hidden conflict has been raging in the Church for over one hundred years…Under Francis, the first Jesuit pope, the first pope from the Americas and the first pope whose priestly ordination was in the New Rite, it is now full blown, with the potential of rendering the Church smaller but more faithful,” he added.

"...The anti-Gospel of the anti-Church is often “indistinguishable from secular ideology, which has overturned both the natural law and the Ten Commandments,” he said"

"...This anti-Gospel, which seeks to elevate the individual’s will to consume, to pleasure and to power over the will of God, was rejected by Christ when tempted in the wilderness. Disguised as ‘human rights,’ it has reappeared, in all its luciferian hubris, to promulgate a narcissistic, hedonistic attitude that rejects any constraint except that imposed by man-made laws,” he added

Dozens dead in Afghanistan violence as Ramadan begins

Dozens dead in Afghanistan violence as Ramadan begins

A suspected suicide bomber killed as many as 14 people in Afghanistan on Saturday and fighting between militants and security forces left at least 36 people dead on the first day of Islam's holy Month of Ramadan.

In eastern Khost province, a Taliban attacker detonated a car bomb near a football field that is close to a military base, officials said.

At a local hospital, doctors received at least 14 dead bodies and eight wounded people, said Gul Mohammaddin Mangal, head of the public health department in Khost.

"The bodies are not recognizable and it is hard to say if they are civilians or security forces," he said.

Najib Danish, spokesman for the Afghan Interior Ministry, put the death toll at 13 killed and eight wounded, including two children.

Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid claimed responsibility for the Khost attack, saying it was aimed at members of the Afghan security forces.

A Reuters witness at the scene did not observe any military or police vehicles among those destroyed in the blast.

Islamic State captures major city in the Philippines

Philippine president urges IS-linked rebels to halt siege, start talks

By Tom Allard | ILIGAN CITY, PHILIPPINES
Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte appealed to Islamist militants on Friday to abandon hostilities and start dialogue in an effort to end their bloody occupation of a southern city that experts called a major blow to regional security.

Duterte said the presence of foreign fighters in street battles that have raged since Tuesday in Marawi City was proof that Islamic State had gained a foothold on the restive island of Mindanao, but there was still a chance for peace.

"You can say that the ISIS is here already," Duterte told soldiers in nearby Iligan City, referring to Islamic State.

"My message mainly to the terrorists on the other side is we can still solve this through dialogue. And if you cannot be convinced to stop fighting, so be it. Let's just fight."

Special forces commandoes were deployed to drive out the remaining 20 to 30 Maute group rebels holed-up in Marawi but encountered heavy resistance on Friday. The army said 11 soldiers and 31 militants have been killed.

Fighting erupted on Tuesday after a bungled raid by security forces on a Maute hideout, which spiraled into chaos, with gunmen seizing bridges, roads and buildings and taking Christians hostage. Duterte responded by declaring martial law throughout his home island of Mindanao.

Rohan Gunaratna, a Singapore-based security expert, said the siege was a wake-up call for the Philippines.

Manchester's Muslim Brotherhood Mosque

Was a Muslim Brotherhood mosque a gateway to Manchester terror?

Was the Manchester bomber radicalized by his Islamist mosque?

The Islamic institution long attended by Manchester terrorist Salman Abedi appears to have deep connections to the global Muslim Brotherhood, which has been designated as a terrorist organization in several countries, but not the United States. Abedi killed 22 people and wounded over 100 more when he committed a suicide attack against a group of mostly teenage girls outside a concert at Manchester Arena.
The Didsbury Mosque, which is also known as the Manchester Islamic Center, employs top leadership that is directly connected to the Muslim Brotherhood.
The Global Muslim Brotherhood Daily Watch reports that the imam of the mosque, Mustafa Abdullah Graf, is linked to a group headed by Yusuf Qaradawi, the spiritual leader of the Muslim Brotherhood. Qaradawi has infamously endorsed suicide bombings and argues that homosexuals, apostates from Islam, and those who defy Islamic culture should be immediately put to death.
Moreover, the supervisor of the mosque’s Sharia department, Salem Sheikhi, is a member of another Muslim Brotherhood institution run by Qaradawi.

Why Are Coptic Christians Attacked?

Why Do Coptic Christians Keep Getting Attacked?

Monks survey the view following an attack on Coptic Christians traveling to a monastery in Minya, Egypt

Egypt’s preexisting climate of pro-Islamist sectarianism is an important, and sometimes overlooked, reason.

Friday is usually the most peaceful day in the Egyptian week, a day most often reserved for time with family. This Friday in particular—the last day before the start of Ramadan—should have been a time of calm reflection and prayer in Egypt. Instead, gunmen killed at least 24 Coptic Christians as they made their way via bus to a monastery in Minya, south of Cairo.

Copts are the largest Christian group in the Middle East, and they represent about 10 percent of the population in Egypt. This is not the first attack that has taken aim at Christians in the country, but it is one of the most shocking, with a high death toll and children among the targets. Sadly, given ISIS’s express declarations that Christians are “infidels” who should be targeted in Egypt, this attack is also unlikely to be the last.

Egypt hits 'jihadist camps' after attack on Coptic Christians

Egyptian forces have struck "terrorist training camps" in retaliation for an attack on Coptic Christians, President Abdul Fattah al-Sisi has said.
State media say six strikes hit the town of Derna in neighbouring Libya.
Gunmen earlier attacked a bus carrying worshippers in central Egypt, killing at least 28 people and wounding 25 others.
President Sisi said he would "not hesitate to strike terrorist camps anywhere".
Announcing the strike in a TV speech late on Friday, he promised to "protect our people from the evil".
Countries supporting terrorism should be punished, he said, as he appealed to US President Donald Trump for help.
Military sources told Reuters news agency that the militants targeted in Libya had been involved in the attack on Egyptian Christians earlier in the day.
Although no group immediately said it was behind the attack, Islamic State (IS) militants have targeted Copts several times in recent months.
Libya is effectively controlled by a large number of armed militias that have emerged in the chaos since Nato-backed forces overthrew long-serving ruler Col Muammar Gaddafi in October 2011.
But IS has also built a presence in Libya during the chaos.

ISIS calls for 'all-out war' at start of Ramadan

Islamic State calls for 'all-out war' on West at start of Ramadan after Manchester attack

European security services are bracing for more attacks during the Muslim holy month of Ramadan beginning tomorrow, after Islamic State called on its followers to rise up in an “all-out war” on "infidels” in the West.

Saturday marks the start of a 30-day period of fasting and reflection in the Islamic world, which has in recent years seen a large uptick in Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (Isil) terror attacks.

“Muslim brothers in Europe who can’t reach the Islamic State lands, attack them in their homes, their markets, their roads and their forums,” the jihadist group said in a message entitled Where are the lions of war? and published on YouTube.

Defending themselves after the suicide attack on Manchester Arena, which left 22 mostly children and teenagers dead, the group said: “Do not despise the work. Your targeting of the so-called innocents and civilians is beloved by us and the most effective, so go forth and may you get a great reward or martyrdom in Ramadan.”

The Islam In Islamic Terrorism

Hugh Fitzgerald: A Review of Ibn Warraq’s The Islam In Islamic Terrorism

Ibn Warraq, the celebrated apostate, author of Why I Am Not A Muslim and of scholarly works on the Koran, Muhammad, and early Islam, as well as polemical works in defense of the West, has now written The Islam in Islamic Terrorism, showing, in the words of the Islamic fundamentalists (or, more exactly, revivalists) themselves, what really motivates Islamic terrorists today, and what has motivated them since the time of the Kharijites in the first century of Islam: the belief in the need to recover the pristine Islam of the time of Muhammad, by removing all innovations (bid’a), the further belief that it is the duty of Muslims to wage Jihad against all Unbelievers until Islam everywhere dominates, and to bring about the resurrection of the caliphate, and the imposition of Islamic Law, or Sharia, all over the globe.
Ibn Warraq’s The Islam In Islamic Terrorism is a brilliant series of reported echoes down the corridors of Islam, where the same complaints about bid’a, the same insistence on regulating every area of a Believer’s life, the same refusal to allow freedom of religion or thought, the same duties of violent Jihad and Commanding Right and Forbidding Wrong, the same demands for a return to the same pristine Islam of Muhammad, the same virulent antisemitism, the same quotes from the Koran and Hadith, the same hatred of Infidels, the same insistence that “we love death more than you love life,” the same call for bloodshed and Muslim martyrdom, the same dreary fanaticism, are thoroughly described and dissected, and above all the various violent manifestations of this revivalism over the centuries are linked to one another, as Ibn Warraq brings to bear the massive research he has been conducting over many years, in primary and secondary sources, and here deploys to splendid effect.

Only The Virgin Mary Can Save The World?

Image result for fatima portugalAs The Catholic faith prepares for the 100th anniversary of the the first apparition of Mary to three shepherd children on May 13th 1917, the pope shares his thoughts:

“It is in my role as universal pastor, Pope Francis said, that I am about to present myself to her and I need to feel you close, physically or spiritually so that we are one heart and one mind”.

In his message the Pope also said he is entrusting all Portuguese faithful to Our Lady asking her to “whisper into the ears of each one of them, and assure them that her Immaculate Heart is a refuge and a path leading them to God”.

The Angel of Fatima

The writer highlights a forgotten aspect of the Marian apparition events:

"Many people who know the basic story of Our Lady of Fatima are unaware that an angel, known as the Angel of Peace, appeared to the children three times before Our Lady visited them. The angel taught them the prayer commonly referred to as the Pardon Prayer. They were told to recite it three times in a row.

Kneeling on the ground, the Angel bowed until his/her forehead touched the ground, and had the children repeat these words three times. The Angel also said, “Pray thus. The Hearts of Jesus and Mary are attentive to the voice of your supplications.”

Radical Islam in the Bible Belt

Hinners gives stern warning about Muslim Brotherhood during AFA visit

Cathy Hinners, a retired police officer from Albany, N.Y. who has worked for U.S. Department of Homeland Security as a mobile trainer on weapons of mass destruction for New York City Police Department, explained in detail how terrorists elements within the Muslim faith are attempting to “dominate” this nation.

Founder of Dailyrollcall.com while ranking herself a “hated” target among Islamic sympathizers nationwide, Hinners’ views of Muslims in the United States — and the specific threat of the Muslim Brotherhood in this nation — was her topic as featured speaker during ACT For America Knoxville Chapter’s monthly fourth-Thursday meeting April 27 in Don Delfis Pancake House & Restaurant.
Her address centered around a stern warning concerning “the Muslim Brotherhood” increasing its infiltration throughout the nation, but especially in “Bible Belt” Tennessee. “Whenever we talk of the Muslim Brotherhood we may as well say Hamas,” Hinners said. “… Tennessee is probably, I want to say fifth or sixth in line as far as refugees coming into this country.”

ALARM: Record die-off of marine life along West Coast

Huge numbers washing up on shore… “This is just the tip of the iceberg” — Several types of animals found dead — Hemorrhaging from brain infection (VIDEOS)

San Francisco Chronicle, May 5, 2017 (emphasis added): Leopard sharks dying by the hundreds in San Francisco Bay — Scores of leopard sharks have been found dead or dying… No one knows yet what is the causeAlarmed biologists are trying to figure out why leopard sharks are dying by the hundreds in San Francisco Bay this year… Huge numbers of dead sharks, some bat rays and a few halibut have been found since mid-March along the shorelines… It is the

second year in a row that large numbers of the bay’s most abundant shark have been going belly up during the spring pupping season… It is the largest leopard shark mortality event since 2011, when more than 1,000 dead sharks were counted…
San Francisco Chronicle, May 4, 2017: Hundreds of dead sharks washing up on Bay Area shores — For seven weeks straight, hundreds of sharks have been washing up dead on the shores of the San Francisco Bay… “We can’t actually keep up with the volume of calls we get on a day-to-day basis,” [Sean Van Sommeran, executive director and founder of the Pelagic Shark Research Foundation] said. Several types of marine life have been turning up dead, including rays and large fish like halibut. But primarily, Van Sommeran has been seeing hundreds of leopard sharks washing up. He estimates the number of dead and dying sharks in the bay could be in the thousands. “This is just the tip of the iceberg,” Van Sommeran told SFGATE. “We’re only seeing a fraction of the actual losses.”…
CBS S.F., May 4, 2017: Spike In Leopard Shark Deaths In SF Bay Raises Concerns… This is the third die-off in the past six years… Tests have found a viral and fungal infection that somehow makes its way into the shark’s brain…
ABC S.F., May 4, 2017: Leopard Sharks dying off in record numbers in San Francisco Bay — Leopard sharks in particular have been dying off in record numbers… Research so far points to a pathogen getting into the brains of the sharks. “Well the pathogens get into the eyes, nose duct, they have a brain infection [that] causes hemorrhage,” Vansommeran said.

Our Lady of Fatima and Islam

SPIRITUALITY

"Nothing ever happens out of heaven except with a finesse of all details."
As we approach the 100th anniversary of the apparitions of Our Lady of Fátima, one aspect that often goes unnoticed is the subtle connection with Islam. The Blessed Virgin Mary appeared to the three shepherd children near the city of Fátima, Portugal, a place named after both a Muslim princess and the daughter of Mohammed.
During the 12th century, Christian armies sought to recapture cities in Spain and Portugal that were being occupied by Muslim forces. In this time period, a knight named Gonçalo Hermigues and his companions captured a Muslim princess named Fátima. Some stories say that after her capture, Fátima fell in love with Gonçalo and the two were soon after betrothed. Before their marriage Fátima was baptized into the Catholic faith and took the name Oureana. The Portuguese cities of Fátima and Ourém are said to be named after this Muslim princess.

What’s interesting is that the Muslim princess was named after one of the daughters of Mohammed, Fatimah bint Muhammad, a woman highly revered in Islam. She was given the title, al-Zahra, “shining one,” and Mohammed once said about her, “Thou shalt be the most blessed of all the women in Paradise, after Mary.” (While Muslims do not hold the same beliefs about the Virgin Mary as Catholics, they still hold her with highest regard.)
According to Fr. Miguel Angel Ayuso, secretary of the Pontifical Council for Interreligious Dialogue, this connection can be a doorway to dialogue. He noted in a joint prayer meeting in 2014 how, “the Catholic Church recognizes that Muslims honor the Virgin mother of Jesus, Mary, and invoke her with piety…Mary is mentioned various times in the Koran. Respect for her is so evident that when she is mentioned in Islam, it is usual to add ‘Alayha l-salam’ (‘Peace be upon her’)…Mary, a model for Muslims and Christians, is also a model of dialogue.”

At Least 13 Killed in Severe Weather

At least 13 killed in severe weather in South and Midwest

The National Weather Service finds evidence of four tornadoes, with one twister possibly on the ground for 50 miles.
CANTON, Texas — At least 13 people have been killed by tornadoes or flooding in the South and Midwest by a storm that also dumped a rare late-season blizzard in western Kansas on Sunday.
Tornadoes hit several small towns in East Texas, killing four people. Three people were killed by flooding and winds in Arkansas, with officials saying two more people are missing. Rushing water swept away a car, drowning a woman in Missouri; and a death was reported in Sunday morning storms that raked Mississippi.
Flooding closed part of Interstate 44 near Hazelgreen, Missouri, and officials expected it would be at least a day before the highway reopened. Interstate 70 in western Kansas was closed because crews were waiting for snow falling at 3 to 4 inches an hour being blown by 35 mph winds to subside.
An Arkansas volunteer fire department chief was killed while working during storms in north-central Arkansas, state police said.
Cove Creek/Pearson Fire Chief Doug Decker died shortly before 4 a.m. Sunday after being struck by a vehicle while checking water levels on Highway 25 near Quitman, about 40 miles north of Little Rock, Trooper Liz Chapman said. His death will be included as a storm-related death.
A 2-year-old girl in Tennessee died after being struck by a heavy, metal soccer goal post that was blown over by high winds, The Metro Nashville Police Department posted on its Twitter page on Sunday evening.

Exposing The Lie of Chrislam

Shahram Hadian

A Christian pastor and former Muslim, Shahram Hadian travels around the nation speaking on critical issues facing us as Americans.

Shahram was born in Iran in 1971. His father was a Lieutenant Colonel in the Army, and his mom was an elementary school teacher.

Shahram’s parents had a sense of urgency to leave Iran as soon as possible and in December of 1978, with nothing but their suitcases, moved to America to seek freedom.

Shahram experienced a transformational life change 15 years ago when he committed his life to Jesus Christ.

When he became a Christian, he immediately faced persecution and disapproval from his family and culture. According to the teachings of Islam, his conversion means that he is an “apostate” and deserves to be killed.

In spite of this opposition, Shahram persevered, enrolled in Bible College, and has been a Christian pastor for the last ten years. He graduated from Puget Sound Christian College with a Bachelor’s degree in Biblical Studies and Christian Ministry.
