VATICAN CITY – The Vatican and the prestigious Sunni Muslim center of learning, Al-Azhar, are expected to formally reopen talks next year after a five-year lull.

Officials from the Vatican's office of interreligious affairs are going to Cairo this weekend for a preparatory meeting to lay the groundwork for the official restart of talks, scheduled for late April in Rome.

The Vatican announcement Friday comes after Pope Francis and the grand imam of Al-Azhar, Sheik Ahmed el-Tayyib, met at the Vatican in May and embraced. It marked a turning point after Al-Azhar froze talks with the Vatican in 2011 to protest comments by then-Pope Benedict XVI.

Benedict had demanded greater protection for Christians in Egypt after a New Year's bombing on a Coptic Christian church in Alexandria killed 21 people.

How our possible rogue planet may be messing with our solar system

Earlier this year an announcement raised a tantalizing possibility: a ninth planet lurking in the outer reaches of our solar system. The announcement turned the astronomy and planetary science world upside down.

Caltech astronomer Michael Brown and theoretical astrophysicist Konstantin Batygin found evidence for a possible 10 Earth mass planet that may be tilting long-orbiting dwarf planets on their sides and shepherding them into clusters far past the orbit of Neptune in highly eccentric orbits. In the last several months, more and more papers have been published about the possible planet and how it might prove an explanation for other strange things happening in our solar system.

At a press conference held this afternoon, at the AAS Division of Planetary Sciences annual meeting in Pasadena Ca, another announcement was made about Planet Nine’s effects on the spin-axis tilt of our Sun. This time, the paper titled Solar Obliquity Induced by Planet Nine is lead by Caltech graduate student Elizabeth Bailey, with Brown and Batygin as co-authors.

We’ve known that the Sun is tilted for about 200 years, but scientists have never known why. Only the catch here is, the Sun isn’t actually tilted at all. We are. To explain this oddity and what’s happening to our solar system we spoke with co-author and theoretical astrophysicist, Konstantin Batygin.

Konstantin Batygin: When planetary systems form, they form from very flat discs.  The motion that everything in our entire planetary system forms in a very proto planetary flat disc is one of the basic principles of planetary formation theory. The planetary orbits themselves are fully consistent- If you look at how inclined the planets are with respect to each other they are only inclined by no more than one degree so the planets of the solar system are remarkably flat.

(CNN)Officials in the Philippines warned that Typhoon Haima, which made landfall late Wednesday, could be even stronger than Haiyan in 2013, which left more than 6,000 dead.

"We must therefore brace ourselves for the possible effects of a typhoon of this magnitude," Executive Secretary Salvador Medialdea said in a statement.
Haima is the second powerful storm to pound the Philippines this week. It hit Cagayan province on the northeastern end of the archipelago around 11 p.m. local time. The Joint Typhoon Warning Center downgraded it from a super typhoon before it made landfall.

Its winds of 220 kilometers per hour (137 mph) winds put it on par with a Category 4 hurricane, the center said. It's expected to affect as many as 2.7 million people in seven provinces before veering northwest toward the Chinese coast by Friday.
It is blasting the Philippines with strong winds and heavy rainfall that could trigger landslides in the mountainous region of the northern island of Luzon.
At its peak, Haima had winds of up to 315 kilometers per hour (195 mph), the equivalent of a Category 5 hurricane on the Saffir-Simpson Hurricane Wind Scale.
It is the third-strongest typhoon of the season, behind Nepartak and Meranti, both of which lashed Taiwan and China.

THE DAY OF ATONEMENT WAS INSTITUTED BY YHVH-GOD.
AND PROCLAIMED THROUGH MOSES AT MOUNT SINAI.
HE SET FORTH THIS "APPOINTED TIME" AS A STATUTE FOREVER.

Leviticus 23:26-32 (NKJV)The Day of Atonement

27 “Also the tenth day of this seventh month shall be the Day of Atonement.
      It shall be a holy convocation for you;
      You shall afflict your souls, and offer an offering made by fire to the LORD.

THE DAY OF ATONEMENT IS MORE THAN AN ANNUAL DAY OF JEWISH REFLECTION AND RITUAL. IT WILL EMERGE AS THE FINAL CLIMACTIC DAY OF ULTIMATE COVERING AND JUSTICATION. THIS FINAL DAY OF RECONCILIATION WILL COVER ALL THE RIGHTEOUS, BOTH PAST AND PRESENT. THIS EPIC DAY OF RECKONING WILL THEN USHER IN THE APOCALYPSE, THE UNVEILING OF MESSIAH.

The Day of Atonement is the 6th feast. 
This is the most solemn day on the Hebrew calendar. 
When it come into its climactic fulfillment it will be am event of epic, even Biblical proportions. 
Because a blockbuster future Yom Kippur will become the last day of this present evil age.

For most people the Yom Kippur, a "day of covering" (for sin), or a Day of Atonement is just another obscure Jewish holiday. Our Jewish brethren celebrate this as a day for reflection upon deeds done during the past year and with that the hope of doing better in the next. The tenth day of Tishrei is a date on a Hebrew calendar of unknown significance to the heathen goyim, the gentiles. The Lost Ten Tribes, swaddled in materialism and paganism in the West, are still suffering from amnesia. They are having trouble remembering their God and where they came from. And even those who through the blood of Messiah have entered into the Commonwealth of Israel do not know about it yet. See Ephesian 2:1-13. They have their ticket to the mansions. So why should they study the Old Testament and reflect upon their Hebrew roots? And since most post-modern Christians now listen to men rather than searching the Holy Scriptures for themselves they have not considered the Day of Atonement. Nor have they looked in to discover what it all might mean.

But all that is destined to change.
The Day of Atonement is destined to be a global event remembered forever by all humanity.

Yom Kippur is destined to become more than just a Jewish day of personal reflection performed yearly,
More than a day of accounting and reconciliation with God and man celebrated at the end of every sabbatical year,
More than a day of economic and personal accounting at the end of every 49 year Jubilee cycle.
Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement is declared by Moses to become a statute forever. 

During the coming Millennium of Messiah it will continue to be all of the above.
But there is more!
Some stupendous future Day of Reckoning is destined break forth into world history.
Current human history under the rule of profane men will come to a screeching halt.

Yehoveh-God as Messiah will come down Jacob's Ladder as Emmanuel, which means "God with us".
And a future momentous tenth day of the Tishrei moon will mark the last day of this present evil age.

A future Yom Kippur will usher the world and its people into the Apocalypse, the unveiling of Messiah. Messiah's righteous judgments await the wicked, both angelic and human, and those justified by faith in the ultimate atoning blood covering of Messiah who at His first coming was Israel's promised Sacrifice Lamb and the Sufferin Servat the prophet Isaih spoke about in Isaiah 53. And so this is why the angelic rulers stir up the heathen gentiles to rage. (See King David's song in Psalm 2). The coming Throne of David is the ultimate target of all humanistic, communistic, capitalistic, ecclesiastic, and monarchical anti-Semitic loathing and furor.

Oh yes, the Day of Atonement must take its place in eschatology.
And it will.
That Day, the Day of the Lord will usher us into climax of this present evil age.

Russia and US to clash in Syria at the end of year

The Stratfor analysts believe that in the 4 th quarter of 2016 risks of military clash between Moscow and Washington in Syria will increase. According to the experts, cooperation of Moscow and Washington on the battlefield will be minimal, as both sides are not quite interested in diplomatic deescalation of the Syrian conflict.

The analysts predict that Russia will adhere to military tactics, rejecting 'diplomatic disputes', as the US is not ready for 'constructive trade' because of prompt leave of Barack Obama. Taking into account that Washington reinforces the Sunni rebels in Syria and deprives the dialogue policy with Moscow of priority, at the end of the year potential for clashes between Russia and the US will increase.

The situation is being aggravated with the Turkish troops being present on the battlefield, which will advance to the south of Syria under the American guise, in order to decrease risk of clashes with Russia. At the same time Washington's allies from the Persian Gulf lead their own game against Iran: they will try to play on disagreements between Russian and the US and reinforce positions of their Sunni satellites,' the Stratfor experts believe.

Before that, Philip Gordon, the White House adviser on the Middle East, the North of Africa and the Persian Gulf, published an article in the Washington Post, named Putin is making a mistake in Syria ­ and Russia will pay the price. Russia could pay a price for Aleppo in its relations with Europe and the Arab world. Europe will refuse to lift sanctions, which will just aggravate Russia's economy.

While the US Administration ­ taking into account Russia's guilt for break of armistice ­ will arm the 'moderate opposition' with state­of­the­art weapons, which will lead to increase of Russia's losses,' the author stated. 'Goals of such policy have been evident from the very beginning of the Syrian crisis, that is to annihilate Assad's power by all means, divide Syria and oust Russia from the Middle East. In such case Sunni forces will come to power in these quasi­states, that are loyal to the US and hostile to Russia and Iran.

This article and other threats towards Russia just cover these goals,' Boris Dolgov, senior fellow at the Center for Arab and Islamic Studies at the Institute of Oriental Studies, told Pravda.Ru. 'Aggressive Washington may supply radical Islamists with modern weapons, Russia should be ready and undertake measures. They've been partly taken with delivering air­defense complexes, the S­300 system. The measures are being taken and they will minimize the damage the US may bring to the region,' Dolgov said. Aliens want to help mankind but fear our violent tendencies, according to an email exchange revealed by Wikileaks. Mails sent by astronaut Edgar Mitchell to John Podesta cite an impending space war and the Vatican’s knowledge of alien life.

“Because the War in Space race is heating up, I felt you should be aware of several factors as you and I schedule our Skype talk,” Mitchell, who died in February, tells Podesta in the mails from 2015, before mentioning a “nonviolent” alien species that wishes to share with mankind “zero point energy.”

Podesta was serving as counselor to President Barack Obama during the exchange, before he left the position to become chairman of Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign. These emails emerged before Monday’s second batch of the ‘Podesta Emails’ were released by Wikileaks.

Terri Mansfield, who describes herself online as “the Director of the ETI (Extraterrestrial Intelligence) Peace Task Force” is also mentioned in one of Mitchell’s emails.

Referred to as Mitchell’s “Catholic colleague,” Mansfield is also said to be attending the meeting with Podesta “to bring us up to date on the Vatican’s awareness of ETI.”

On her website, Mansfield describes ETIs as being “the highest form of intelligence working directly with God.”

Mitchell, who includes in his email signature that he’s the “6th man to walk on the Moon,” warns Podesta that the “nonviolent ETI” are helping to share zero point energy with Earth but will not “tolerate any forms of military violence on Earth or in space."

But you may have heard about another hurricane out there, Hurricane Nicole.

Upgraded to a Category 1 hurricane from a tropical storm Thursday, Nicole isn't projected to make landfall anywhere - except, perhaps, eventually Bermuda.

Moscow vs Washington: Is Russia preparing for war with the US?

A RUSSIAN newspaper has stoked fears of a Third World War as tensions rise with the US over the ongoing conflict in Syria.

Tabloid Moskovsky Komsomolets has predicted that a “direct military confrontation” will occur between the global powers on par with the Cuban missile crisis.

The prediction comes as the US suspended contact with Russia over Syria on Monday,The Sun reported.

US Secretary of State John Kerry has been enraged by air strikes on rebel-controlled areas of Aleppo, which has claimed the lives of hundreds of innocent people.

Yesterday morning we reported that in immediate retaliation for the US threat that the Pentagon may launch air strikes against the Assad regime in the latest and most dramatic escalation in the Syrian proxy war in years, Russia's Defense Ministry said that a battery of Russian S-300 air defense missile launchers has been transported to Syria. As Russian Defense Ministry spokesman Igor Konashenkov said, “the Syrian Arab Republic received an S-300 anti-aircraft missile system. This system is designed to ensure the safety of the naval base in [Syrian city of] Tartus and ships located in the coastal area [in Syria]…” 

Then, in an amusing twist, Konashenkov said it is unclear why the deployment of the missile system has created such a fuss in the West. "The S-300 is a purely defensive system and poses no threat,” he said.

To which we said that "of course, a defense system is precisely what the Pentagon would prefer to avoid in case an offensive attack was launched."

Today, Russia confirmed that the deployment of the Surface-to-Air missile battery was clearly aimed at containing US offensive ambitions, when the Defense Ministry cautioned the US-led coalition of carrying out airstrikes on Syrian army positions, adding in Syria there are "numerous S-300 and S-400 air defense systems up and running", as cited by RT.

Russia just deployed missile defenses to Syria that can stop 'any' US cruise missiles

On Monday, the same day that the US and Russia suspended bilateral talks over the fate of Syria, Russia deployed its advanced SA-23 Gladiator missile defense system to Syria, US officials told Fox News.

The SA-23 represents an interesting choice of deployment for Russia, as it fires two types of missiles, one that can counter any US cruise missile attack, and one that can counter intermediate-range ballistic missiles.

As one US official put it sarcastically, “Nusra doesn’t have an air force do they?” referring to Jabhat al-Nusra (recently rebranded as Jabhat Fateh al-Sham), an al-Qaeda linked group fighting against the Russian-aligned Assad regime in Syria.

In fact, Nusra doesn't have an air force, neither does ISIS, nor do any of the myriad rebel or jihadist groups fighting against the Assad regime. None of them operate cruise missiles or intermediate-range ballistic missiles either. 

Only the US and members of the US-led coalition have air forces and naval vessels capable of firing cruise missiles from the Mediterranean or ballistic missiles from intermediate ranges. The US openly considered the prospect of bombarding Syria with cruise missiles in 2013 when Assad crossed Obama's "red line" by using chemical weapons on his own people, thoughObama ultimately declined to take this action. 

Meanwhile, the international community has watched as Russian and Syrian warplanes bomb hospitals and UN aid envoys. Most recently, Russian, or Syrian warplanes with Russian support, have been linked to dropping bunker-busting bombs on hospitals built into caves specifically to avoid being targeted by airstrikes.

29 "Immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light, and the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken. 30 Then will appear in heaven the sign of the Son of Man, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. 31 And he will send out his angels with a loud trumpet call, and they will gather his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.


44 Therefore you also must be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect.

GENEVA, Sept 30 (Reuters) - Tens of thousands of people are dying of hunger in the area of west Africa where Boko Haram militants are active, the U.N. humanitarian coordinator for the region, told a news conference on Friday.

About 65,000 people are in a "catastrophe" or "phase 5" situation, according to a food security assessment by the IPC, the recognised classification system on declaring famines.

Phase 5 applies when, even with humanitarian assistance, "starvation, death and destitution" are evident.

"The tragedy of using the F word is that when you apply it it's too late," said Toby Lanzer, who has also worked in South Sudan, Darfur and Chechnya.

Boko Haram militants have killed about 15,000 people and displaced more than 2 million in a seven-year insurgency and they still launch deadly attacks despite having been pushed out of the vast swathes of territory they controlled in 2014.
