Damage assessment was under way Monday in Southern California's Imperial County, a day after hundreds of earthquakes shook homes and businesses, officials said.
Injuries were reported but there had been no reports of deaths.
Some families were displaced the Los Angeles Times reported.
Quakes up to 5.5-magnitude struck, the California Emergency Management Agency said.
Scientists said residents of Imperial, San Bernardino, Riverside and San Diego counties could be affected by additional earthquakes. The agency said seismic swarms could continue over the next several weeks.
