WARNING: The Coming Solar Storm, Part II

The storm is just begining...

Watching solar activity muddle Earth’s magnetic field

Scientists have found that extreme solar activity drastically compresses the magnetosphere and modifies the composition of ions in the near-Earth environment. They are now challenged to model how these changes affect orbiting satellites, including the GPS system.

Under normal solar conditions, satellites orbit within the magnetosphere — the protective magnetic bubble carved out by Earth’s magnetic field. But when solar activity increases, the picture changes significantly: the magnetosphere gets compressed and particles get energized, exposing satellites to higher doses of radiation that can perturb signal reception. This is why monitoring and forecasting its impact on near-Earth space is becoming increasingly critical to safeguard daily life on Earth. One way to do this is by studying the physics of near-Earth space and observing the impact of such activity in time.

Swine Flu Pandemic Declared Imminent

By Tom Randall @Bloomberg

April 29 (Bloomberg) -- The World Health Organization warned the first influenza pandemic since 1968 is “imminent” and urged stepped-up preparations after swine flu was confirmed in at least nine countries and 11 U.S. states.

WHO raised the level of its six-tier alert system to 5, indicating little time remains for countries to complete emergency plans. U.S. cases jumped to 94, from 64 yesterday, with hundreds of suspected cases at New York schools. President Barack Obama asked Congress for $1.5 billion for an outbreak and warned parents to prepare for school closings.

Same-sex couples begin tying the knot in Iowa

By AMY LORENTZEN – 1 hour ago

DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) — Same-sex couples in Iowa began holding hastily planned weddings Monday as the state became the third to allow gay marriage, a leap that even some supporters find hard to grasp in the nation's heartland.

Within hours of a state Supreme Court ruling legalizing gay marriage taking effect, several same-sex couples had exchanged vows on the steps of the Polk County Administrative Building.

Swine Flu - World Counting Down To Pandemic Says Top Virologist

By Tan Ee Lyn

HONG KONG (Reuters) - A Chinese virologist who helped fight SARS and bird flu warned on Monday of a possible swine flu pandemic that the most populous countries in Asia, China and India, would be ill-prepared to handle.

"We are counting down to a pandemic," said Guan Yi, a professor at the University of Hong Kong who helped trace the outbreak of SARS in 2003 to the civet cat.

"I think the spread of this virus in humans cannot possibly be contained within a short time ... there are already cases in almost every region. The picture is changing every moment."

Mysticism Melds Muslims & Mary

The ecumenical effect of mysticism is evidenced in the following press release from The Islamic Republic News Agency:

'Jesus and Mary in Islamic Mysticism' published in Croatia

Tehran, April 18, IRNA -- The book 'Jesus and Mary in Islamic Mysticism' written by the late noted German scholar Annemarie Schimmel was published in Croatian language in Croatia.

According to a report by the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization, the book was translated and published by Iran's Cultural Office in Zagreb in cooperation with the organization's Center for Cultural and International Studies. The 192-page book deals with bonds between Islam and Christianity and was published in 1,000 copies.

Annemarie Schimmel (1922–2003) was a well-known and very influential German Islamologist who wrote extensively on Islam and Sufism. She mainly focused on the personalities of Jesus Christ and Mary in Islam with references from the holy Qur'an and Persian literature.
Annemarie Schimmel had said on this book: "I wrote this work to show my compatriots the strength of the links between Islam and Christianity. I hope that Muslims' respect for Jesus, son of Mary, and their love for Mary could be a link between these two religions.

Editor's note:The New York Open Center presents this workshop: Mary and Jesus in Islam and Sufism. From the website:

Many Christians do not realize that in Islamic mysticism the figures of Mary and Jesus are venerated as archetypes of purity and sainthood. In these two half-day workshops, which will include meditation, the contemplation of particular themes...

...we will look at how this link between the two faiths offers common ground for fruitful ecumenical dialogue, and explore the meaning and relevance of saintliness in the present day. These two programs will show us how exploring each others’ mystical traditions can help us see our own faith with new eyes.

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad sparks racism meet walkout

John Lyons, Middle East correspondent April 21, 2009 Article from: The Australian

DELEGATES from Western countries last night walked out of the UN anti-racism summit in Geneva after Iran's President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad used his keynote speech to attack Israel as racist.

Mr Ahmadinejad criticised the formation of a "racist government" in the Middle East, in a clear reference to Israel.

"They sent migrants from Europe, the United States ... in order to establish a racist government in the occupied Palestine," he said on the opening day of the five-day conference known as Durban II.

NEVER AGAIN--NO, NEVER AGAIN! By Jan Markell of Olive Tree Ministries

Yom HaShoah is the annual day to remember the slain six million Jews who perished under the crush of the Third Reich. This year the date falls on April 21. More than Jews perished. Hitler wanted to do away with his enemies and anyone who didn't have blue eyes and blond hair. During the Carter administration, America officially recognized this important day as well. Many non-Jews attend memorial services in their area.

DHS Being Sued For Rightwing Extremism Policy

Napolitano is Lying to Americans About Her Department’s Rightwing Extremism Report; TMLC Files Suit

ANN ARBOR, MI – The Thomas More Law Center, a national public interest law firm based in Ann Arbor, Michigan, announced that yesterday evening it filed a federal lawsuit against Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano. The lawsuit claims that her Department’s “Rightwing Extremism Policy,” as reflected in the recently publicized Intelligence Assessment, “Rightwing Extremism: Current Economic and Political Climate Fueling Resurgence in Radicalization and Recruitment,” violates the civil liberties of combat veterans as well as American citizens by targeting them for disfavored treatment on account of their political beliefs.

Editor's note: The DHS Report specifically mentions the following traits that law enforcement should use to determine whether someone is a “rightwing extremist”:
  • Returning war veterans
  • Opposes one world government
  • Belief in end times' prophecies

Wake up, Purpose Driven Evangelicals!

Wake up, Evangelicals! by Karen Pansler-Lam, J.D. at Liberty Advocate

Rick Warren’s purpose-driven mission is to replace the true Gospel
with the gospel of reconciliation - religious humanism,
or secular humanism.

Rick Warren is America’s most dangerous religious leader. Warren - the Pied Piper of Christianity - is charming Evangelicals with his delightful tune of world peace and lulling us into a deep sleep of destruction.

...Warren’s gospel of reconciliation has replaced the true Gospel of salvation. Simply put, according to Warren, reconciliation - not salvation - will bring peace to the world.

Warren is not concerned about building the kingdom of God; Warren is concerned about building a global community: a one-world government and a one-world religion – religious humanism. He ignorantly believes that his PEACE strategy will bring peace on earth.

...Rick Warren is joining hand in hand with humanists to build a global community with a one-world religion – religious humanism, or secular humanism. Don’t be deceived! His PEACE plan is just a humanist manifesto disguised as Christianity.

So many 'hammers' could fall on us that it's hard to know where to begin. Many of these events have the capacity to adversely impact food and medical supplies, disrupt electricity, and present an entire platter of unwanted challenges. We have only to look to devastating Hurricane Katrina or the floods and snowstorms of 2007, 2008 and 2009 to see people without electricity for weeks. And people were left for days to fend for themselves. Don't be left vulnerable. There are answers and preparing is easier than you think!

Red Letter Christians To The Rescue?

Down With Sola Scriptura

Now that the Rick Warren whirlwind of controversy has shaken both political conservatives and liberals, what might emerge out of this storm?

As more states lean toward legalizing same sex marriages, certainly a new breed of public square "Christian" must rise out of the ashes of the flip-flopping of America's Pastor.

Enter the Red Letter Christians. RLC leader Tony Campolo is famous for his acceptance of homosexuality. Joseph Farah of World Net Daily writes:

Tony Campolo, the godfather of the so-called "Red Letter Christians," seems to be a little confused on the subject of same-sex marriage...Here's what he wrote in "Red Letter Christians." You be the judge.

"Marriage should be viewed as an institution ordained by God and should be out of the control of the state. Of course, homosexual couples could go to churches that welcome and affirm gay marriage and get their unions blessed there, but isn't that the way it should be in a nation that guarantees people the right to promotion religion according to their personal convictions?"

Campolo wore his support around his neck in the form of a rainbow-colored stole at the 2008 New Baptist Covenant meeting. From Indy Week.com:

Campolo joined others at the gathering who wore rainbow-colored stoles as a sign of solidarity with gays and lesbians. Campolo said he wanted to let them know "we were aware that they were there, and we loved them and accept them as brothers and sisters in Christ."

Time will soon reveal to whom the public square "Christian" baton will be passed. The Red Letter Christians may even get a little help from their friends from the Emergent church movement.

Rick Warren is not the problem – he's just a symptom

Have we lost our Christian mind? By Dave Welch at World Net Daily

While Americans watched with disbelief as our president apologized for our "arrogance" to the radical Islamists in Turkey, Socialists in France, etc. – the most visible pastor in America decided to add his apology to the headlines.

As Pastor Rick Warren's mea culpa on California Proposition 8 ignited fires of frustration among pro-marriage leaders nationwide, something was obviously, as the saying goes, "rotten in Denmark." My first response after both hearing about and then watching
the interview was,

"Why?" What did Warren have to gain, and what was the reason for his Clintonian "I really didn't endorse" assertion?

...Whether it is Warren groveling before the militant sexual diversity power structure, Osteen floundering in whether eternal salvation through Jesus Christ is the only way or Wallis, Campolo and the other mouthpieces of the religious left serving as spiritual advisers to a Marxist president – the American pulpit is indeed at a critical crossroads. Newsweek's Easter-week (the timing was certainly not coincidental) article, "The Rise and Fall of Christian America" declared, "This is not to say that the Christian God is dead, but that he is less of a force in American politics and culture than at any other time in recent memory." It's hard to refute that.

We have absolute confidence that the great and mighty God who set the galaxies in motion with His word, suspends the very laws of nature he ordained in order to show His power and lowered Himself in the perfect act of love to take the punishment for our sin and evil upon Himself is not in any danger of extinction or demotion. He has not lost His power and is certainly not dead.

This is also not the first crisis of theology, identity and purpose within Christianity as we well know with just a cursory study of church history. The great creeds and confessions were developed to respond to myriad heresies and errors such as the Arian heresy that led to the first Council of Nicaea in 325 – and the Nicaean Creed. Any Christian who has not read and even memorized that creed should do so immediately and then work your way forward to and through the Westminster Catechisms. Why?

The fundamental reason the Newsweek article is tragically correct is that we simply have not been following the same Christianity that transformed nations for over 1,800 years. In responding to an e-mail from a reader a couple of weeks ago (even before this issue arose), I explained that Rick Warren is not the problem; he is the symptom.

Biblical Christianity is not a significant force in the culture because pastors like Warren have been trained in churches, schools and seminaries for decades that have given them a fragmented worldview in whether or not we even have a responsibility to serve as a redemptive agent to our surrounding culture. While politically active Christians were organizing and engaged in recent years, there was an understanding and assumption that most churches understood their role at changing hearts and minds as an irreplaceable first step to godly government.

We were wrong.

The Exodus of Christians From The All-About-Me Churches

Paul Proctor hits the nail on the head with this analysis on declining church membership...

The reports are everywhere now about the declining numbers of church members and baptisms – especially among Southern Baptists; so much so that church leaders address it at almost every opportunity as if attempting to somehow spark a zeal in remaining members like a coach might do in the locker room of a losing team at halftime.

Everyone is trying to figure out what’s wrong.

This might come as a shock to many, but I would suggest that the answer here might just be nothing is wrong – that those declining numbers that are troubling the pulpits of American churches right now may well be God’s will being carried out by His own being called out of a growing apostasy flourishing within them.

...Is it not biblical compromise and carnal indulgence that has ultimately caused it – pleasure palaces built with borrowed money to produce sensory circuses that can better compete with the world for your patronage and mine with watered-down gospel messages, coffee shop ministries, rock and roll worship and people-pleasing programs? If it is, then how can more biblical compromise and carnal indulgence solve it?

That’s right – it can’t.

So, while pastors feverishly try to save their ministries (careers) and members try to save their churches (attendance), the exodus is steadily taking it all away – away from the wishful thinking and wayward agendas of misguided men to the promised land of God’s provision where the rot and stench of spiritual death and decay is left behind for the Living Waters of truth, repentance and faith in Christ.

The Purpose Driven Takeover of The Southern Baptist Convention

The Southern Baptist Convention's Pastors Today April 13 e-newsletter promoted two Purpose Driven church growth strategies.

The first program is Saddleback's NEXT Small Group Conferences. Not only is LifeWay promoting this effort, LifeWay is CO-SPONSORING the conferences:

"Serendipity by LifeWay, the small group ministry area of LifeWay Christian Resources of the Southern Baptist Convention, has joined with Saddleback Church to sponsor a series of NEXT Saddleback small group conferences for 2009."

Serendipity specializes in small group resources for a variety of audiences, including Emerging Churches. The online store offers
Serendipity offers this book, Contagious Community: Living Beyond Yourself. Inside the leader's guide, there is the striking Purpose Driven "group think" resemblance:

Group process: To build community, the curriculum must be designed to take a group through a step-by step process of sharing your story with one another.

Interactive Bible Study: To share your “story,” the approach to Scripture in the curriculum needs to be open-ended and right-brained—to “level the playing field” and encourage everyone to share.

A Group Covenant is found on page 5 which includes keeping the group activity confidential:
Anything that is said in the meeting is never repeated outside the meeting.

Page 7 is classic Purpose Driven language for the teacher:

"...cast vision for and keep the group focused on the goals of the group... guide group members to understand and commit to the group covenant."

The second promotion is the NEXT Conferences & Coaching Network. From the website:

Through coaching networks, conference material and other resources, NEXT can provide a practical game plan for you whether you're starting a new church or already leading a church. NEXT coaches are experienced pastors, planters and leaders, and they are trained to help you take your next step.

NEXT network's director, Ron Sylvia, is the author of Starting Churches on Purpose. It is a 232 page manual on how to start a trademark Purpose Driven church. But NEXT doesn't stop there. NEXT seems to be a clearinghouse for any church growth strategy including emergent and seeker sensitive.

Many may recognize LifeWay Research's Ed Stetzer. He has earned credibility with the Emergents as an intelligent, sympathetic ear. Stetzer and Sylvia have shared the stage with Rick Warren at the National New Church Conference. Christian Research Network has several pieces regarding Ed Stetzer as well as this blog.

It appears that the Southern Baptist Convention is being taken over by the Purpose Driven Network. When the takeover is complete, the SBC no doubt will go the way of many of it's churches after a Purpose Driven campaign...DIVISION.

Russia, Iraq call for fair new world order from China View

MOSCOW, April 10 (Xinhua) -- Russia and Iraq signed a joint communique here on Friday, calling for the establishment of a new world order and speaking highly of the agreement on the forces pullout from Iraq, local media reported.

Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin and his visiting counterpart Nuri al-Maliki signed the communique after negotiations, the Itar-Tass news agency reported.

In order to ensure global peace and security, assume international accountability and strengthen multilateral cooperation, Russia and Iraq urged the establishment of a new world order, which strictly abides by UN charters and resolutions and is based on well-acknowledged international laws and principles, said the communique.

Truth or Lies? Rick Warren's Moral Facade

From Kjos Ministries:

In an article titled "Rick Warren disavows support for Prop. 8," Jim Brown writes,

"California mega-church pastor and author of The Purpose Driven Life Rick Warren says he apologized to his homosexual friends for making comments in support of California's Proposition 8, and now claims he 'never once even gave an endorsement' of the marriage amendment."[1]

During a recent CNN interview on Larry King Live, Warren assured his host that-

"During the whole Proposition 8 thing, I never once went to a meeting, never once issued a statement, never -- never once even gave an endorsement in the two years Prop. 8 was going."[2]

But he was lying! According to Brown, Pastor Warren had "issued a clear endorsement of the marriage amendment while speaking to church members." Ponder Warren's stated position two weeks before the Prop. 8 vote on November 4...

So where does Pastor Warren actually stand on this issue? What is the source of his moral cues? God's Word -- or forceful leaders who have traded His unchanging Truth for today's evolving moral pragmatism?

His recent statements suggest a total moral U-turn. According to Brown, Warren regrets his earlier position. "There were a number of things that were put out. I wrote to all my gay friends -- the leaders that I knew -- and actually apologized to them. That never got out," he admitted.

Those "gay friends" may serve him well in today's global battlefield for fame and power. As America follows Europe into a moral freefall, Warren's spiritual leadership fits right in. So did his attempt to offer a non-offensive interfaith prayer at Obama's inauguration..."

Editor's note: Here's another example of Rick Warren's moral pragmatism.

They have made no distinction between the holy and the common, neither have they taught the difference between the unclean and the clean, and they have disregarded my Sabbaths, so that I am profaned among them. 27 Her princes in her midst are like wolves tearing the prey, shedding blood, destroying lives to get dishonest gain. 28And her prophets have smeared whitewash for them, seeing false visions and divining lies for them, saying, 'Thus says the Lord GOD,' when the LORD has not spoken. 29The people of the land have practiced extortion and committed robbery. They have oppressed the poor and needy, and have extorted from the sojourner without justice. 30 And I sought for a man among them who should build up the wall and stand in the breach before me for the land, that I should not destroy it, but I found none. 31Therefore I have poured out my indignation upon them. I have consumed them with the fire of my wrath. I have returned their way upon their heads, declares the Lord GOD."

Worthy Is The Lamb That Was Slain

13"I saw in the night visions,
and behold, with the clouds of heaven there came one like a son of man,and he came to the Ancient of Days and was presented before him.14 And to him was given dominion and glory and a kingdom, that all peoples, nations, and languages should serve him; his dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and his kingdom one that shall not be destroyed.

Revelation 5:1-14

1Then I saw in the right hand of him who was seated on the throne a scroll written within and on the back, sealed with seven seals. 2And I saw a strong angel proclaiming with a loud voice, "Who is worthy to open the scroll and break its seals?" 3And no one in heaven or on earth or under the earth was able to open the scroll or to look into it, 4and I began to weep loudly because no one was found worthy to open the scroll or to look into it. 5And one of the elders said to me, "Weep no more; behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has conquered, so that he can open the scroll and its seven seals."

6And between the throne and the four living creatures and among the elders I saw a Lamb standing, as though it had been slain, with seven horns and with seven eyes, which are the seven spirits of God sent out into all the earth. 7And he went and took the scroll from the right hand of him who was seated on the throne. 8And when he had taken the scroll, the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb, each holding a harp, and golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of the saints. 9And they sang a new song, saying,

"Worthy are you to take the scroll
and to open its seals,
for you were slain, and by your blood you ransomed people for God
from every tribe and language and people and nation,
10and you have made them a kingdom and priests to our God,
and they shall reign on the earth."

11Then I looked, and I heard around the throne and the living creatures and the elders the voice of many angels, numbering myriads of myriads and thousands of thousands, 12saying with a loud voice, "Worthy is the Lamb who was slain, to receive power and wealth and wisdom and might and honor and glory and blessing!" 13And I heard every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and in the sea, and all that is in them, saying, "To him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb be blessing and honor and glory and might forever and ever!" 14And the four living creatures said, "Amen!" and the elders fell down and worshiped.

Rick Warren, Please Sit Down

Dear Pastor Warren,

The headlines below reflect the twists and turns you performed on the subject of homosexuality this Easter week. The world recognizes a lack of integrity when a celebrity figure in popular culture is engaged in verbal gymnastics. The world knows when religion is used as a vehicle for power and influence.

Many Christians recognize this maneuvering for a different reason. These gymnastics are very similar to those employed in the Purpose Driven system. The twisting of Scripture that results in the loss of doctrinal integrity. The turning of a church into a business. The Purpose Driven system is used as a vehicle for a desired outcome: growing a bigger church.

The world may not appreciate the impact of the Purposed Driven system that leaves a trail of dismembered church families. However, the world is seeing how you have manipulated the gay agenda at the expense of the LGBT community. And now, the media is crying foul.

You have earned the title of "America's pastor". All eyes were on you as you prayed at the Presidential Inauguration. Please return to the Biblical role of a pastor, and surrender the role of a politician.

For the sake of the Christian witness during this Easter Week, please apologize to those who have been offended by your actions.

Please sit down.

USA TODAY: Did Warren mean what he said -- or say what he meant -- on marriage?

In an interview with Beliefnet, he equates gay marriage with pedophilia and incest. Then he denies it. Then he complains that he's getting criticized by people for his remarks because the media just likes to create conflict, except, of course...

AOL NEWS: Rick Warren Abandons Fight Against Gay Marriage?

Well, let's consider the recent turnabout by evangelist Rick Warren, who on the Larry King show this week declared "I am not an anti-gay marriage activist."

As others have pointed out, Warren broke one of the ten commandments in front of King's audience, because he did "issue a statement" and made an "endorsement" in California's Prop. 8 battle. In fact, here it is...

The Atlantic: The Lies Of Rick Warren

Here is his televised statement of support for Prop 8. Who are you going to believe: Rick Warren on Larry King or your lying eyes?

PANDAGON: Rick Warren lies about his homobigotry on Larry King Live

Saddleback Church mega-church pastor and the man who delivered the invocation at the President’s inaugural, Rick Warren, went on Larry King last night and insisted, despite all the video footage out there of him on his anti-gay efforts, that he isn’t against gays or same sex marriage. (!). Right. What was that about bearing false witness?

ONE NEW NOW: Warren's 'backsliding' on marriage damages church

A Washington, DC, pastor and outspoken opponent of same-sex "marriage" says California mega-church pastor Rick Warren has done "tremendous damage" by apologizing for his support last fall of California's marriage protection amendment.

Bishop Harry Jackson, Jr., with the High Impact Leadership Coalition says he was very disappointed with Warren's statements on CNN.

"This man who's been called the next Billy Graham, who I really respect with all my heart and love what he's doing in Africa, is falling into a trap that is emblematic of the problem that the entire church is facing in this generation," Jackson states. "And that is that we love the applause of men more than we love the work of God and the gospel. Jesus...told us that we are to honor God first, and that we are not to fear men but we're to fear God"

CBN NEWS.com Rick Warren Backpedals on Prop 8 Support

Well-known pastor and author Rick Warren denied this week ever endorsing California's Proposition 8 that put a halt to gay marriage last November.

On Tuesday April 7, Warren told CNN's Larry King that he "never once" gave an endorsement for the state amendment that defined marriage as between one man and one women.

UPDATE:

WASHINGTON TIMES: Warren waver on Prop 8 stuns leader, stance about-face at issue

Evangelical leaders say they are bewildered and stunned by the Rev. Rick Warren's apparent turnaround on gay marriage after the famous California pastor said earlier this week that he was not a proponent of California's Proposition 8.

CBN NEWS: Pastor Rick Warren Cancels ABC Interview April 13, 2009

CBNNews.com - Pastor Rick Warren cancelled an appearance on ABC's This Week, just days after making contradictory statements regarding his stance on California's gay marriage ballot.

Warren cited sickness and exhaustion for not appearing on the show Easter Sunday. Host George Stephanopoulos told viewers that the California pastor backed out of the interview "moments before" he was scheduled to air.

Stephanopoulos was expected to ask about Warren's April 7 appearance on CNN, where he retracted an apparent endorsement of Proposition 8, the ballot measure that ended gay marriage in California last November.

TOWN HALL.COM: Politically Correct or Biblically Courageous by Harry R. Jackson, Jr.

The day after the Larry King interview I sat in the DC City Council chambers observing an unintended consequence of Pastor Warren’s statements – emboldened gay marriage advocates. Perceiving that evangelicals are weakening and that their side is turning around, gay activists are putting forth their best efforts to attempt to win their war for marriage this year. Although Warren’s statements are only one of several factors that have moved gay activists, I maintain that they are still a factor in this battle.

...The lesson that all nationally influential preachers must remember is that our words have weight and that there is a responsibility that comes with our leadership. We must choose to be biblically courageous instead of taking the easy road of political correctness.

CHRISTIAN TODAY, Australia: Is it Ever Right to Rebuke? The Cases of Rick Warren and Notre Dame

Living the Christian life is often a balancing act. It is easy to get into unhelpful extremes, and seeking to find the biblical balance is often a difficult job. Take for example the issue of public censure. On the one hand, Christians are to strive for unity and edification. On the other hand, we are instructed to at times publically rebuke wayward brothers.

...Nonetheless, he stated that his note to his congregation telling them to support Prop 8 was blown out of proportion. ‘I sent a note to my own members, and then all of a sudden out of it they made me something that I really wasn’t.’ He added: ‘I wrote to all my gay friends, the leaders that I knew and apologized to them.’”

Not only is this backtracking on homosexuality of real concern, but it seems he has been bending the truth a little as well. It was not just a note he wrote on proposition 8. He had “in fact videotaped a message of over 2 minutes length in support of Prop 8. That video was featured on the Prop 8 website and is still available on Warren’s own Saddleback Church website.”

WORLD NET DAILY: America's wishy-washy pastor by Joeseph Farah.

What a difference two centuries, combined with affluence and the corporatization of the 501(c)3 church culture has made.

A good example of this was on display on CNN's "Larry King Live" this week, as "America's Pastor" Rick Warren did a soft shoe act on his role in the same-sex marriage battle over Proposition 8...

It's a great illustration of America's most prominent church leader equivocating and backtracking and saying almost nothing coherent so that he will offend no one.

Let me lay it on the line: This is not the way Yeshua talked or behaved. It is not the example of the one whom Rick Warren claims to emulate and worship. There is nothing prophetic or biblical or courageous or principled about this kind of Christian witness...

From Apprising Ministries: RICK WARREN DOUBLE-MINDED ON MARRIAGE?

This report comes to us from OneNewsNow.com, which is not in any way, shape, or form, an online discernment and apologetics ministry:

A Washington, DC, pastor and outspoken opponent of same-sex “marriage” says California mega-church pastor Rick Warren has done “tremendous damage” by apologizing for his support last fall of California’s marriage protection ammendment.

Warren told King on Monday that he “never once even gave an endorsement” during the Prop. 8 campaign. However, in late October — just weeks before the November 4 election — the pastor told his congregation: “Now let me say this really clearly: we support Proposition 8 — and if you believe what the Bible says about marriage, you need to support Proposition 8.” … (Online source)

Now below is the video that People Purpose Driven Pope Rick Warren tells us is not “an endorsement.” Well, to paraphrase another famous Southern Baptist I guess that depends on what the definition of is, is. Warren will very clearly say:

There are about two per cent of Americans are homosexual, or gay, lesbian people. We should not let two per cent of the population determine, to change, the definition of marriage that has been supported by every single culture, and every single religion for five thousand years… (1:24-1:43)

So I urge you to support Proposition 8, and pass that word on. I’m going to be sending out a note to pastors on what I believe about this, but everybody knows what I believe about it. (1:56-2:08)

New International Board to Intervene In Decisions About U.S. Companies

Obama's G20 plan kisses off Declaration of Independence from Jerome Corsi's RED ALERT:

At the G20 meeting in London, President Obama agreed to create of an international board with authority to intervene in U.S. corporations by dictating executive compensation and approving or disapproving business management decisions, Jerome Corsi's Red Alert reports.

Political consultant Dick Morris said that by agreeing to create the Financial Stability Board, Obama is a "willing accomplice" to a decision that effectively repealed the U.S. Declaration of Independence and abrogated the sovereignty of the United States.

The final communiqués coming out of the G20 meeting in London April 2 included a document entitled "Declaration on Strengthening the Financial System."

"By agreeing to the stipulations in this document, President Obama gave the blessing of the United States to the G20 decision to elevate the Financial Stability Forum into the Financial Stability Board," Corsi wrote. "The United States has only one vote in the newly constituted Financial Stability Board, a group that will be largely controlled by European central bankers."

The new global regulator now has the authority to examine all U.S. banks, brokerage firms and corporations – including non-financial companies such as the Big Three automakers – to examine operations and determine risk.

The New World Order is here. Soon The Leader of The Fourth Kingdom will be revealed. Are You Ready?

The Most Chilling Words Since 'New World Order'

When conspiracy becomes reality, the time to act becomes history...

From World Net Daily:

On March 6, 1991, President George Herbert Walker Bush, at the conclusion of the Persian Gulf War, uttered some words that shivered down the spines of Americans who appreciated their country as an independent, sovereign experiment in constitutional self-government.

"Now, we can see a new world coming into view – a world in which there is the very real prospect of a New World Order," he said.

He went on to expand on this idea, explaining that he envisioned the United Nations freed "to fulfill the historic vision of its founders."

In 1991, that was scary talk. It sounded like Bush had forgotten what America represented in the world – a nation founded on the principles of independence, the rule of law and accountability to the people, rather than just one of many states responsible to a global community that didn't share its ideals.

Last weekend, speaking in Prague, Barack Obama took the New World Order rhetoric to soaring new heights.

"All nations must come together to build a stronger, global regime," he said.

NO ONE FEARS THE EVANGELICAL GOD WITH A MAN-SHAPED HOLE IN HIS HEART

From pastor-teacher Ken Silva of Apprising Ministries:

An oracle is within my heart concerning the sinfulness of the wicked: There is no fear of God before his eyes. (Psalm 36:1)

Fear Of The Lord Is The Beginning Of Wisdom; Why The Visible Church Is As It Is

The time has arrived where those of us who truly love our Lord, and our fellow man, must begin to take an honest look at something. Something that is so sadly lacking in the true Church of Christ today—even within the evangelical camp–, which is nearly unforgivable.

What is so appallingly absent would be our own esteem for the dreadful and awesome majesty of the omnipotent, omnipresent, omniscient, and completely sovereign Yahweh El Shaddai—the LORD God Almighty—as actually revealed in Holy Scripture.

David Lynch Foundation Bullies Anti-TM Webcast Offline

In anticipation of the David Lynch Foundation's star-studded benefit concert to promote Transcendental Meditation in public schools, cult recovery expert John Knapp organized a no-cost webcast, TELL TM, HANDS OFF OUR SCHOOLS! that was scheduled to take place April 2, 2009. Panelists included University of So. Carolina sociologist and researcher Dr. Barry Markovsky, and Dr. Meera Nanda, author of Prophets Facing Backward.

Here's the details from the Knapp Family Counseling website:

Join us for a free Web Event, April 2, 8 pm EST, to learn a side of the Transcendental Meditation story they won't tell you.

Concerned scientists question research claiming benefits. Former members allege secret agendas. Clergy are unsure if TM contradicts their religion.

In this atmosphere, the David Lynch Foundation sponsors Paul McCartney & Friends in concert April 4, 2009. Reminding many of Tom Cruise's marketing for Scientology.
DLF states this "World Harmony Concert" will raise millions to introduce "TM/Quiet Time" into public schools.

We believe this violates the separation of Church & State. Many consider meditation valuable. Our concern is religious meditation forms do not belong in public schools.

On the eve of the webcast, General Counsel for the David Lynch Foundation contacted John Knapp and warned of potential legal action against Knapp and the panelists:

"...Your website is a fount of false, misleading, biased and entirely negative information on the TM program and the organizations and individuals which teach or have conducted research on that program[1]. The listed presenters at your event appear all to have a similar negative mission. Therefore, I wished to give you the courtesy of an advisal that we intend to review the global web presentation of the event carefully for any false, defamatory, tortious, breachful, malicious or otherwise unlawful statements or materials made or published by you or the presenters."

Really? The "TM program" is among other things, a blatant violation of the concept of separation of Church and State. Even the Mormon Times recognizes the infiltration of Transcendental Meditation in public schools as unconstitutional, referencing the 1979 case, Alan and Edwina Malnak of New Jersey :

The Malnaks won their case in the lower court, which found that getting public school students to participate in Transcendental Meditation was a religious activity and therefore unconstitutional. The ruling was appealed to the 3rd Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals where Judge Arlin Adams was serving on a three-judge panel. While the appellate court concurred with the lower court...As a result educators cancelled transcendental meditation classes and government funds dried up.

Regrettably, out of concern for the panelists who are professionals in their own right, John Knapp cancelled the webcast. On his blog, Knapp expresses a sentiment shared by others bloggers who have had similar experiences...

"The unfortunate thing is that, in America, justice tends to belong to those who can pay for it. I believe we critics have an absolute, constitutionally protected right to express our opinions and share information that, while perhaps embarrassing to the TM Org, is in no way defamatory. In an ideal world, the TM Movement wouldn't have a legal leg to stand on. But unless we can afford to defend that right to our free speech in the courts, perhaps through the appellate level, it doesn't matter if we are right. We can be shut down."

It would be curious to see how the General Counsel for the David Lynch Foundation would defend this quote from Paul McCartney regarding TM:

“It started for us when we met the Maharishi in India, and it’s going to get bigger and bigger and rule the world...”

Wow, the "Change Begins Within" concert on April 4th occurred the same week the birth of the New World Order was announced. What a coincidence.

Vermont and Iowa Say Yes To Gay Marriage

Gay marriage laws in the US
By The Associated Press

Vermont lawmakers on Tuesday voted to override the governor's veto of a bill allow gay men and lesbians to marry. Here's where things stand nationally:

SAME-SEX MARRIAGE:

Vermont's vote marked the first time a legislature enacted it into law. Last week, the Iowa Supreme Court ruled that marriage couldn't be restricted to unions of a man and a woman, following the lead of Connecticut and Massachusetts, both of which approved it as a result of high court decisions.

California briefly allowed gay marriage last year, but a voter initiative in November repealed it.

Solar Storms + Weak Magnetic Field = Disasters

Considering where the solar cycle minimum is now, we may expect two years of harsh, cold dry winters. Based on Solar Cycle 24's newest data, more earthquakes may be triggered between now and end of 2012 due to the predicted sharp rise of the sunspot numbers this cycle. When you this fast climb, coupled with the alarming decrease in the Sun's protective shield around the solar system (heliosphere), we could see severe changes in the Earth's magnetic field and possibly even the beginning of the magnetic pole reversal.
